Things I Would Love to See At McCartney Concert

So are you suggesting that someone who paid for one of the cheaper seats wouldn't want to sit somewhere in the first couple rows?

No, that is not what I am suggesting. What I am saying is that you cannot possibly know that every person who buys a low price concert ticket in a 40,000 venue is buying the most expensive seat they can afford. Theoretically every person wants to be front and center. But that isn't possible, is it? If it was the case, Paul would play to one person at every one of his concerts. The point you are missing is that many devoted fans pay a lot, even beyond what they can afford, to get as close as possible. And to watch someone who paid a lot less be moved to the front ahead of them can be frustrating. You don't have a problem with that, but you are not everyone. Some disagree with you.

YES !

I have zero problem with you disagreeing with me, just as I hope you have no problem with me disagreeing with you. I'm sure there are some people in the cheaper seats who could have afforded $250 tickets, but I'm guessing they're in the vast minority. Obviously I can't know that for sure, just using simple logic. Plus, it's not like anyone is being kicked out of seats they paid for. Those rows are reserved for the lottery winners.

No I think some seats are for friends & family...and when they aren't needed...

For the record, I am all for poor unfortunate people being given a break and a surprise. But this is not what is happening. This is more like people getting in line to buy tickets for an event, and someone grabbing the last ten people in line randomly and moving them up to the front of the line. For no reason. Still, I get where you are coming from! Yes, if I bought a $75 ticket and was then escorted to the front row in front of Paul I would LOVE that!

Ah. Well, regardless, it's not like people are paying for those seats and then being kicked out of them.

ok...I don't know how much of this thread you had read through...but I recently (as others have too) paid $1500.00 for soundcheck & 3rd row seats. We ended up being on the extreme aisle. With a boom in our way. The seating chart must have been changed or maybe I misunderstood but I think they changed the seating arrangements...I know they did away with the aisles in between sections. Anyway...I think people that pay this for the privilege of getting up front & close to Paul should be moved up 1st. Let the others have the seats that we would have vacated.

Wow. I was going to make a sarcastic joke, but it is not necessary. Why on earth don't they make the sound check package seats be the ten rows right in front of Paul? Seems fair for $1500. Even if you were set back a bit, a direct front view of Paul would beat this any day.

Thanks. But yeah...that is what I would like to have happen...move up people that paid for it & got on line early to try to get good seats...not move up someone like say...my cousin that just thought "hey, maybe I should go".

Seems very fair to me.

They did have a great lighting system. You should have seen the lazer lights.

I paid $2000 to be in the front row and the same thing happened to me. I emailed the venue and told them the seat should have been sold as obstructed view, not as a sound check ticket. I was about 15 seats to the left of the stage. Would you think it's fair if somebody got upgraded to center of the front row? I don't. If they were going to upgrade, give them my seat and move me over. I paid a bunch of money and couldn't watch the concert with my eyes. I watched on the screen--when the boom camera wasn't in the way.

IMO - I find that a disgraceful way for a fan to be treated that spent $2,000 !!!

Who can we complain to now? They actually *do* need to know.
