Pipes of Peace. Your thoughts.

I agree. TOW and POP could have been a very strong single album. You could arrange the tracks in a variety of ways, but I often think that an effective track listing would be: Tug of War Somebody Who Cares Wanderlust The Other Me So Bad Pipes of Peace The Pound is Sinking Keep Under Cover Here Today Through Our Love I honestly think that album would have been a classic. One of his very best. Say Say Say could have been released as a stand alone single. The same could have been done with Ebony and Ivory. Although I have no major problem with these songs, the album would have been stronger and more cohesive without them. Same goes for Take it Away, although I do feel that that song could have been shelved altogether.

The only knock against this album that I can see...I don't see a "hit" single. In that case, Take it Away might be worthy of inclusion. But was Take it Away even a significant hit for McCartney? I can't really remember. I do recall hearing both Take it Away and So Bad on the radio at the time.

I'm liking that track listing. Tug of Peace, although that's a terrible title. How about: Here Today. Might even give that a listen. I would definitely include Take it Away, maybe even Ballroom Dancing?
