However, he did seem to shake-it a bit for you ladies.
Bit of a frog butt...what's to shake?
A rather (wait for it) "ribbitting" performance, nonetheless. (grooooooooooan)
Well our hero is 72...could "croak" anytime... :

Bob Gannon:
I was near a secondary VIP area downstairs. Besides the drunk guy who kept trying to sneak in, and a fair share of drunks for only like a 30 person area. Kept leaving to get drinks and then pushing their way through me to sneak under the ropes because they were too lazy to walk 8 more feet to the entrance
Ah yes...hittin' the sauce in a concert = a very bad experience for those around. I'm sure you were stoic!

NYC is a great place to be a McCartney fan. New Mexico and Australia? Not so much!
Oh geez...don't start me...maaaate.

Bob Gannon:
no Nancy, I said the stolen 61 Hofner story was a perfect set up for My Brave Face which if you remember is a video about a super fan that has "collected" a bunch of Macca's property..He did not play it, but it would have been a great segue into it
Stolen at Twickenham 69, yeah? I believe Paul plays it in the film...but by the rooftop gig, he uses an alternate bass, presumably the Hofner he plays now. When he did the video for Coming Up, he used it for the first time in years...and it still had a Beatles setlist cellotaped to it! Wowee...
-
I agree with those who said that it would be great if he would do more of these shortened surprise concerts with inexpensive tickets. It's now been proven that it can be done, especially in big cities (NY, LA, London, Paris, Rome, Tokyo, etc.), where there's a huge amount of fans ready to buy 1,000 tickets in person and make sure each show will be sold out in a matter of minutes/hours after being announced.

And what about the prized Hofner displayed in the "My Brave Face" music-video, which was supposedly the most valued item of the rabid, fanatical Japanese collector? Is that the one he uses now?

Stolen after the Revolution video was filmed.

Yes, the 1963 Hofner. (with "Hofner" written horizontally, not vertically like the 1961 Hofner)

Nope. Stolen during filming of Let It Be in 69. He's seen in the film playing it.

It surely would. How about a "secret gigs" tour, like the one he did in 1991?
-
Better still how about what he wanted to do with The Beatles. Turn up in clubs unannounced... And don't tell me "I think you're daft!"
