London, Birmingham, Liverpool Pre-sale thread

I wanted to buy two tickets but couldn't get any adjacent. Only single tickets available. Didn't want to go on my own but that was my only choice. So now I will possibly have to pay over the odds for another couple if I want to take someone. Not the best.
This was just the pre-sale. There'll be tickets available on Monday morning too. I didn't even attempt to go through the official pre-sale - my experiences tell me it's always a waste of time. I did, however, manage to secure some good tickets (Block C) in the Barclaycard presale for Birmingham. There were plenty of good tickets available - I had a choice of Block B or C.
If it turns out that I can get two adjacent tickets on the Monday morning general sale I will be pretty annoyed. I will probably buy them and then try and sell my single ticket. It seems that there's a too-small portion of tickets made available for pre-sales.

Got 1 for Birmingham but not received an e-mail confirmation. Anyone else received one yet, should I be worried?
-
What's the use of having a bloody pre-sale when anyone can register for it even after the concerts have been announced? This is ridiculous...
-
bit of a disaster we got not good very tix for bham and london, and no tickets for liverpool and by the time we considered the debt of vip a package they'd sold out!
-
Are the Chuckle Brothers running the ticket sales? Skint,so begged money for Monday "log in few minutes before 10.00"only to find tix already on sale. Think I have been here before! BRING BACK THE FUN CLUB!

Hey just as I'd given up I saw the thread for 02 priority. I signed up for that as I'm on 02 through work. Went on and got a seat on the floor level at the 02 in London. Have to go to London obviously live in Blackpool but what the heck it will a great weekend away. Good luck to all those trying for tickets one day hopefully the scalpers will be defeated. Can't wait for May now.

The London presale was offering single seats only by 10:05 - luckily we managed to get seats through O2 priority presale. Agree with other posters that it's ridiculous that the official Paul website lets you register up until a few hours before the presale. It should only have been open for fans who had registered a month ago. It's another slap in the face for real fans from the McCartney website (following the premium member debacle a few years back ) In an aside the flights from Edinburgh to London for both of us return were cheaper than one concert ticket - sign of the times!

I sympathise entirely. Prior to this year I'd always been able to get presale tickets for any concerts I'd wanted to go to, including Paul in 2003/2011. This year has been a marked change - failed to get a single Fleetwood Mac ticket despite being there for 3 presages (including O2 Priority) and the general sale. Still have fond memories of being in the queue at 4am at the MEN Arena for one of the 2003 shows I got to see After error messages and site crashes this morning I managed to get a single ticket for Liverpool (Row HH, Block 10) but was after 3 tickets - wanting to take my 8yo son and wife as Maybe I'm Amazed was our first dance at our wedding. Will hopefully fare better in either the Echo presale tomorrow or Monday's general sale. Also going from Blackpool here; if I do wind up with Liverpool tickets for my family & I, I'll have a spare Liverpool ticket at face value if you're wanting to do Liverpool as well as/instead of London.

Hi I clicked on the presale link at 10 a.m. for a ticket to the Liverpool show. The site said 'loading content' and has been doing so till now at 12.45 a.m. Help! How can I get tickets? Paul

o2 priority tickets still available for London just bought two I agreee with other comments I have been a fan since the early wings club sandwhich days and still cant get a ticket for Liverpool even though I only live 230 minutes away. As others have said you should have been a man active member at least a month before

Hi Brendster I'll probably not go to Liverpool now anyway. Thanks for the offer though to possibly purchase. I can't really justify going to both my Mrs would kill me Taking her down to London for the weekend anyway now so we're both happy. Hope you manage to get some more tickets for your family. All the best.

Fret ye not, all good Son doesn't know it's on and Mrs saw him twice with me in 2003, so it's not the end of the world if they don't get to come with me. And as with Liverpool 2003 when I was at the back then too, I'm just happy to be there in May. I did a similar thing with London when I saw Roger Water The Wall at Wembley a couple of year back and she went off out shopping and a night on the town. Not that she minded me paying for the train and hotel either .

Thanks for that. Thought as much. What a waste of 4 hours! I wonder if Paul knows what a mess this pre-sale is! Oh, for the good old days! I used to go down the Cavern in my youth. You could see the Beatles and the Big Three at lunchtime for 1/3d and you just queued up outside.

Just realized I probably didn't get the tickets, most likely, because I was having them mailed to the UK!! Have to call the credit card to let them know! Hope I do better tomorrow! Going to register in advance.... Good Luck everyone!

Sitting here so deflated after this mornings circus with the touts playing the role of ringmaster ! We fans s are being abused time after time by greedy people who are ALLOWED to manipulate the market ,legallyfor themselves and their cronies whilst the fans eat dirt. Where is the morality in re selling tickets with a face value of 125 GBP for up to four times that amount.Livid to say the least when these ticket outlets have it all sewn up ,they are as thick as theives , literally.

Some thoughts from a former Maccaboarder and UK resident. Lots of my UK friends weren't able to get tickets to the three UK shows via pre-sale, sadly: https://joshgill.wordpress.com/2015/03/07/paul-mccartney-pre-sale-fail/ Thoughts?

I'm really sorry fans like Josh didn't make it in. I think because I was after one seat I had more luck. Don't forget this was just the presale, more tickets will be released on Monday. The registration process on the PM website was nonsense should have only been open to existing fans. The PM link didn't work at all for me, just kept loading. Couldn't even get to the log in stage! Scalpers are awful and artists such as Paul should do more to condemn reselling. It should be made illegal, it is daylight robbery hitting those who want to see an Artist (their most loyal fans) the hardest.

Rubbish. Gig is in high demand. None of those points help addressing the problems surrounding events like this. All make-believe solutions. First of all it's the system online which is laughable. Server errors in 2015, while you know how much pressure there will be?! Then, it's the touts which should be stamped out, not people from outside the country. Suspending of registration wouldn't help one bit. Touts are registered way in advance, and the links would be passed around anyway. And even if tickets would go the people who are planning on attending the gig, the ratio demand/supply for a concert in Liverpool would still be 10 to 1, if not more. Regarding point 3, that's what it all comes down to: the industry (artist, bookers, venues and ticket agencies) are getting way too much benefit from this situation to hurry up and find a fix for these practices already. The fact the best seats/first chances on tickets are being wrapped into decadent champagne packages speaks volumes about the main goal of events like McCartney's.
