Oh dear, the sound leakage of the other stage is so loud. 'Here Today' with beat under it... "There's a disco going on over here", McCartney noted.
He'll be seething inside.

It's a festival! Why doesn't Paul scrap acoustic songs for this show and ROCK OUT??? Play songs on electrics from sound check.
Why the hell is he even doing festivals? Peter Pan thing going on.

The "relevance" struggle is my guess.

I know one thing, El-P & Killer Mike (Run The Jewels) just played the song at their highly acclaimed iTunes Radio show through Apple Music!

Come on, are playing festivals a point of discussion now as well? An almost completely new crowd, a different target audience, a very rewarding place to play, a fantastic outlet.

Good argumentation . You are really trying to argue about how it can't be rewarding for ANY artist to play for a crowd full of people who possibly would never buy a ticket to a regular show and who might will be won over? Oh boy, how wrong they were to play Glastonbury, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Firefly, Roskilde, Lollapalooza...

First of all, I did not start the comments about festivals. But I agreed. A Paul concert should be a stand alone, amazing experience, which, for me it was until about 2009 when he started playing at festivals, and city parks, and just about anywhere so long as there was money to be made. He didn't play festivals on the Wings Over America tour. He didn't play festivals on the 1989/90 World Tour. He didn't play festivals on the 1993 New World Tour. Those were great tours, exciting and anticipated by the media. Now, he is playing a show being drowned out by another band on another stage. I guess you can think that is cool. I don't. I am actually standing up for Paul, saying he deserves better. No matter how much the payday.
