THE NEXT DELUXE/REMASTERED ALBUM FROM PAUL

I think I will be happy with the regular releases of the remasters... ...Glad to see Rainclouds coming out. Love that B side!
I've been waiting for an official digital release of "Rainclouds" for a lonnnnng time. Hopefully, we'll get "Is It Raining In London?" before I forget it ever existed. (all that effort wasted: getting Italy's finest conductor and a top-notch orchestra, only to let an epic track like that gather dust in a vault...makes no sense)

Any idea what albums will be next?

I second that. I have very little interest in Wild life or Red Rose Speedway.

So in early October we'll get the expected Tug Of War & Pipes Of Peace Archive Collection Reissues. I'm aware of the fact that it's a boring technical matter, but I wonder why remix Tug Of War. Is it possible due to the fact that the album was the first Paul's production mixed digitally, in the early days of digital audio with the CD as the new medium, and now Paul isn't that much pleased with the result? Even then, the mixing task was a time-consuming job, which affected the album's release date.

From early 1972 to mid 1973 there is a treasure trove of video content available. Hopefully 'Red Rose Speedway' will be seen as the ideal opportunity to release them.

I question the remix as well. I've always thought that Tug Of War sounded fantastic, so this surprised me. If there was one album that I thought they might remix, it was Venus And Mars. I am excited for the release, and like that they still are including the original mix in the deluxe editions. Can't wait to get these, and then see what is next. I would understand if they would go away from these deluxe releases at some point because of the cost effectiveness (I am assuming it is basically us hard core fans buying them), but I have enjoyed them. Even though I would buy it, I can't see that there would be much demand for one of these deluxe editions of Wild Life. That being said, I would hope that we would at least see packaging maybe similar to the deluxe version of New, and they could get 2 CDs and a DVD in each at a much cheaper cost without the big book.

I ordered the both the delux CDs of Tug and Pipes for £31.93 in total from Universal. Each CD was £13.99 and they COMBINED shipping which was under £4(not that ridiculous £12 from the original hard copy web link). Amazon wants £18.99 for those CDs plus shipping. I don't know if I got the best deal but it was a fair one, to me.

I cant wait for the "NEXT CARDS.." In the reissues...I told myself I'm ONLY buying the CD'S Not THE GIANT Boxes...I WANT MORE WINGS !!!
-
I can feel that the remix of "Tug of War" worries me a little bit actually. What does it mean? The original is a masterpiece, are they trying to adapt to now. Or is it just because of the digital mix of the original. There were some mixing problems that delayed the release dates in 1982. Well... time will tell. I hope they haven't done anything that make me go . I've loved the reissues so far.

Another link to purchase the super deluxe edition of "Tug Of War", this time for $137 plus shipping: http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/UCCO-90369 This one is described by the store (cdjapan) as "3SHM-CD+DVD". Could it be a real Japanese version of the super deluxe set?
