Some remote part of northern Canada where there wasn't another human being for 1000 miles in any direction.
I was just in Winnipeg. It's not remote, deserted or very far north, but it was a surprisingly interesting place to visit.

There is one called iTranslate Voice, that translates Cantonese, Mandarin, and Taiwanese. You speak in English and it speaks in the chosen language you choose. It also has Chinese characters. I imagine it's not perfect tho. I worked in Portuguese, but not perfectly.
The best one I've seen confuses 你好嗎 with 妮豪馬. One means "how are you". It's the single most common greeting. The other means "cute brave horse". Not something you're likely to talk about that often.
