How Much Money Do You Need

I am so happy that someone on advised me to go to the Rembrandt huis museum. It was the most wonderful thing, for me, to see his actual house and see his etchings. I took a number of photos, but I so love this. You are right, it is the Temporary Secretary of Rembrandt! Of all his formal self portraits, this one is so gloriously a spark in his Dark Room! So brazen for its time! I could only get a small print, which I'm having framed!
You're welcome.
Thank You ever so much! Had a box lunch on the steps in front of the green door! The BEST museum !

And it's across the street from some pretty good frites and mayonnaise.

Will remember for next time, Dank je wel

It's in that mall, next to the bagel place. Ik spreek een heel klein beetje Nederlands. Mostly "kan u dat alstublieft herhalen" and "alstublieft, spreek langzamer".

. You are past me there! luckily everyone I met spoke great English. The only problem I had was asking for an ironing board and iron!

This is a hold up! Send me all the money that you have!!! Put it in a red dye free bag and ship it 1 hour express!

All the money is invested in a rai stone...the one that fell out of the outrigger. It's at the bottom of the sea! You'll have to go get it!

Can you break a dime?

I have a bunch of half pennies, but will have to retrieve the rai stone first!

That's pretty good too!! I would just be so blissfully happy not to see certain people I work with... EVER AGAIN !!! Just the one going, changed me immeasurably!! I've lost 10 lbs! . I don't think I could not work, but it would be doing something I enjoy, like stained glass or painting or pottery or selling my photos! Trying to make these really large wood and metal fabricated sculpture pieces that I have in my mind...

Yes! And sell these "crafty" items at flea markets. Not working would give you more time for your hobbies or to take what you do for a living in another direction. I would be blissfully happy if I got new neighbors (on both sides) or if was able to move. But neither is in the cards right now.

I was thinking about you getting away from your neighbors! Just think, if you could buy their house... And rent it out to someone you choose, make a little rental income on the side I used to do the top craft shows with an old boyfriend, back when living was a lot less expensive. There's no health insurance, but you get to do shows all over the country and crafts people are some of the most interesting people I've met. Still keep in touch. It's like working in an art museum with top artists of the things for sale... Inlaid wood furniture, exquisite jewelry, woven and dyed fabrics, porcelain, clay, photography, stained glass, blown glass... 'Twas heavenly.

^^ good ideas and good luck with it. Need enough money to get my health back on track for surgery. Need the money for my Mom's broken bones and physical therapy. And then again money can't replace health if it cannot be fixed. Money can't buy time on this earth. And money can't buy you love.

3 very important things you mention there Kittay. I was just pondering which is more important. Health, time, love. I think you forgot one...happiness. Which reminds me of a piece by Lennon that I just saw recently...

^^ awww, so true. ️ Love to see John. I am happy in spurts. Being in pain kinda makes you less happy sometimes. I will alwayz be an optimist though, in the end. I wish I had the money to start life over again somewhere new. Not tomorrow or next month but right now!

Yeah, me too. I could retire at 63 or so and live off my tax deferred annuity until I get my 2 pensions at age 65 from the hospitals I worked at, and then not have to take Social Security until I'm 66 & 2 mos. I would just have to get Obamacare (if it's still around!) for 2 years. My son gets it (last 2 years for only $63/month, otherwise without the government subsidy it would be over $200!)
