Washington D.C. Pre-Sale link

This has been the craziest ticket buying experience of my concert-going life. I still cannot even. The general sale was again a complete mess. I do not get Ticketmaster's site. It has a countdown clock and an autoreload so that you supposedly do not have to reload the page over and over yourself. But once again, it autoreloaded to page that did not have a ticket buying mechanism on it. And this time, I had my laptop set up too, so I refreshed that page manually. So I then had to scramble to find a page where a ticket buying interface was. Basically I went to the ticketmaster home page and then looked for the Paul concert. Sigh. I finally got there and then it didn't have anything but VIP tickets for sale. There was no general sale in the drop down. I never got my laptop to show general sale tickets. But finally I reloaded or something enough that I could select $250 floor tickets on my desktop. And of course - no tickets for sale at all. Nothing. So I kept reloading the page periodically, while contemplating stubhub tickets. I had spent a while for the sale looking at the seating chart and trying to decide if paying a scalper for tickets was worth it or not. The ones I was looking at were Section 4 (so on the left), row E, seats 13/14. Right before the actual sale, I decided to go for it and avoid the aggravation of the sale. And then I realized there were $126 of fees on top of the 2 x $337 tickets. So I decided I'd better try for tickets with Ticketmaster . Which is when this whole thing happened and there are no tickets. I decided to pay the ridiculous scalper prices because clearly I was not going to get tickets any other way. So I pressed "buy" and then it said the price had changed. The scalper changed the price to $348 per ticket. Which made me mad. So I went back and reloaded ticketmaster a bunch more times - and all of a sudden seats popped up. Section 5 (center), row E, seats 13/14. OMG So I press BUY BUY BUY and I got the tickets. So I paid like $275 less, didn't give money to a scalper (who I didn't want to reward in the first place) and get better seats! I don't know how that happened. Because it took 21 minutes for even a single floor ticket to show up - and some how they were actually good seats. So somehow I have tickets. I don't understand why the sale is going like this. I have never in my life had Ticketmaster be so screwed up - where I have to actually search to find a page selling tickets, having the supposed sale page autoreload onto a page without the ticket buying mechanism - and then not having any tickets pop up right away. Usually I am on there the second they go on sale, and boom, tickets pop up. They might not be good, but they come up right away. I have never seen a presale or a sale that has zero tickets available at the time they go up, and then have a trickle of seats leak out over the next hour or two. I never saw a floor seat for the presale, I guess I just got lucky this time, after 20 minutes of sporadic reloading the ticket search. I don't get it. I'm super frustrated and Paul is the only artist I would do this for. But I hope Ticketmaster gets their act together, and finds a way to stop the scalpers with their computer scripts. I don't know what Paul can do, but this is not the right mechanism to get tickets to fans. I'm super fed up and have spent WAY too much time trying to get tickets. I wish you all luck - just keep having ticketmaster search - because it's the same deal as the pre-sale - there are still tickets trickling out, it seems.

So did only one person try for tix today? I was at dentist so figured there would be nothing left by this afternoon.

I'd love to hear if anyone else did. And if everyone had the same experience I did!

Last night, I pulled up a seat set aside for "Live Nation" in Section 101. A quick google search for the password and $250 later I'm seeing Paul for the 10th time.

Hi, Guys, I received an email with a link for the Boston presale. Can't wait! A question though when I click on the link from the email, will I be recognized as a member (or will I have to log on as a fan-club member?) My other big question is If I'm on a different computer (a public computer at work), will I still be recognized? Thanks! D

I had to enter the code for the pre-sale. Be aware that ticket agencies are also trying to snare a ticket!! It took me many tries last Wednesday and it wasn't till 45 minutes into the pre-sale, that my purchase went through. I hope your boss doesn't chew you out if you use a computer at work.

I had both my laptop and my phone going with the app yesterday. I had an idea of where I wanted to sit (and how much I wanted to pay) after seeing what was available via the presales. Tickets weren't available at first, but I kept trying on both the laptop and the app. After a very long 10 minutes, some decent tickets popped up on the laptop. Honestly, this wasn't as difficult as past experiences; all luck, I suppose. I can't wait to surprise my Girlfriend with the tickets!
