There have been many GREAT live shows that Jimi Hendrix has done is Rock's most glorious past! Concerts such as Monterey, Berkeley, Woodstock and the Isle Of Wight just to name a few, are truly the stuff of great legends! There are CD's and DVD's of all of these shows, you have to hear them to believe it. However, there is one show that the Jimi Hendrix Experience did that blows away any show Jimi has done in the past. This show may be in bootleg form on CD but this show was recorded off the soundboard. It sounds fantastic! The show I'm tallking about is The Forum in Los Angeles on 26 April 1969. This show is by far, Jimi's greatest performance ever! Every song he performed that night was outstanding! The highlight of the show, in my opinion, was when he did the 15:40 of "Tax Free!" Jimi was on a different level when he performed that song as well as the 10:00 "Voodoo Chile" and the 5:40"Voodoo Chile (Reprise)!" I'm really surprised that this show has never been released, maybe its because this concert was manufactured under the licence from the Michael Jeffrey Estate. Mike Jeffrey was Jimi's Manager that also recorded hundreds of Jimi's shows but locked them in his vault where they stayed for decades despite his death in a plane crash in 1973. It wasn't until recently, that some of the family members of the late Mike Jeffrey, went through his vault and found hundreds of Jimi's live shows. The Forum show from 26 April 1969 is one of them. If you are a Jimi Hendrix fan, you need to find this show and hear it for yourself! You can find this show on eBay.

Where are all of these live shows in the vault?
Not surprised that he had all of those in his vault...Jimi's family should have these, shouldn't they?
-
All of the hundreds of Jimi's shows were found in the vault or safe at Mike Jeffrey's old home now owned by one of Mike Jeffrey's relatives! Janie Hendrix, Jimi's half sister, is trying to work something out with the Mike Jeffrey estate in hopes of gaining access to these shows and releasin g them in the future. Only time will tell, we'll have to wait and see.

She should have them all, considering the things I've heard about Jeffrey's.
