So you're there? Looking forward to your reports! This is insane, what a venue. Throwback to the legendary Arctic Monkeys show from 6,5 years ago when they brought out Josh Homme for an unique encore:
-
I am not there. Left yesterday. hadn't heard anything definitive so left as planned

Ah, sad times, it seemed you knew details. Curious if other members will be able to attend. These type of things make me buzzing for his live shows again after all. Shame he didn't throw Europe a bone like this since 2007.

trying to reach a Macca-fan friend who lives in the Palm Springs area to get them this news. Bob, too bad you couldn't stay if you had some info on this! Looks like the concert space is outdoors but still much smaller than Desert Trip!
-
Just like Irving Plaza last year. Best of luck to all fans.
-
I hope that Paul will play some special surprise songs!!!

$50.00?

Wow! Seeing Paul in such a small venue would be a dream come true!

Maybe they'll be trying out some new songs for this weekend!

Paul McCartney At Pappy And Harriet's 12:15 PM Thursday 10/13/16 0 | | Paul McCartney is warming up for this weekend's "Desert Trip" concert with the ultimate desert gig - a last-minute SoCal show at the one and only Pappy & Harriet's Pioneertown Palace. Pappy & Harriet's Twitter bio describes itself as a "real roadhouse surrounded by mountains and sky in the Mojave desert." The venue is located in Pioneertown, Calif., roughly 50 miles outside of Indio, with an indoor capacity of just a few hundred. Back in 1947 the unincorporated community of Pioneertown was founded as a living movie set designed to look like an 1870's frontier town. It's a bit of an understatement to say this is the most intimate show of McCartney's "One On One" tour. The performance is set for tonight at 8:30 p.m. Priced at $50, tickets are limited to one per person and are only available via the venue box office beginning at 6:30 p.m. An announcement on McCartney's site notes that no lineups are permitted before 3 p.m. Once you get your ticket you'll have to enter the venue immediately. Tickets are cash only. McCartney takes the stage for the second weekend of "Desert Trip" on Saturday, along with Neil Young + Promise of The Real. Indio's Empire Polo Club hosts The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan on Friday. Roger Water and The Who close out the concert series on Sunday. http://www.pollstar.com/news_article.aspx?ID=827442

Well, it mentioned its indoor capacity, not that it was actually indoors. The big concerts are always outdoors, and then there's Paul McCartney... indoors! None of the people I know from that area are even going to try, according to one report of a local it's "a zoo" up there, with "hundreds of cars".
