The 2012 and beyond Political Thread - Part 2

I think Trump is a horrible human being, but I don't have a problem with the results. The system of Republicans versus Democrats is broken, and if it takes the ascension of a narcissistic megalomaniac to pry people away from their party loyalty, I think it might be healthy for the country in the long run. Clinton would have been a standard Democrat. The economy might have improved, but nothing would have changed. Trump probably won't change anything either, but at least when all the people who expect him to make their lives better see that he only cares about his own bank account, maybe they'll realize that the solution to their problems isn't in voting for the same corporate parties over and over again. It's not the end of the world. He won't be the first openly racist president. Now that the election is over, he'll tone down the racism considerably. I'd be surprised if Republican leaders don't take away his Twitter account as soon as possible. He definitely won't be the first president who hates women. He was elected president, not king. The corporations and power brokers who have controlled Washington for generations will still be in charge. Trump's powers will be just as limited as any other president. He won't ship all Muslims off to concentration camps or start the purge. He might build a wall, but the American taxpayers will have to pay for it. No one will be happy about that, but if they're smart, they won't buy whatever excuses the people in charge shove down their throats.
Hailey, I hope you're right. But I doubt it. Will our first authentic sociopath president be just a "normal" bad leader? That's the best-case scenario.

And a dissenting view from Hailey's from a woman who's lived in Putin's Russia: http://www.nybooks.com/daily/2016/11/10/trump-election-autocracy-rules-for-survival/

Think of it this way - Trump may very well be the chit show you're guessing he'll be (maybe not)...but voting for Hillary was just kicking the can down the road. In the worse case scenario with Trump, in 4 years, maybe each party will present actual candidates next time...Things will change for the better, whether that's now or in the next election after all the lessons are learned

Im trying to find a vid by Omarosa on ABC, basically it was a warning to anyone who went against Donald Trump and it was very ominous. Typical of a narcissistic sociopath he is keeping a list of the people who go against him... "Every critic, every detractor will have to bow down to Donald Trump. Part of her comments are at the end of this bit. It was very scarey!!!
-
^^ Yes. And the Alabama connection is ominous. Senator Jeff Sessions (R) who kissed Trump's rump from the beginning is going to be possibly in Trump's cabinet. I read maybe as head of DOD. This suggestion is laughable and scary. Sessions doesn't do anything in Alabama and certainly isn't qualified for any real job in Washington, D.C. And see what Trump has done going back in his election promises? Keeping Obamacare, and who knows what else was promised and will not be delivered. This is proof Presidents are selected not elected by forces more powerful than the American voters. I am still comforted to know aliens are in ultimate control of the outcome of our great Planet Earth. I wish they would come abduct me!ð??ð??½ð???

I think it needs to be said, though it should be obvious, that if you support Donald Trump you are attacking everything Paul and the Beatles ever stood for. Everything.
Truth.

Omarosa Is TERRIFYING--Trump Becoming President Is the 'ULTIMATE REVENGE' @ 3:40
-
That's so scarey, THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN THE UNIVERSE!!! Wish I could find the ABC one that had the part about him and his long long list of people to take revenge against.

TRUMP complained a long time ago when he thought he was ahead in the popular polls that the electoral votes are an example of how elections are rigged. I have to agree with him. Hillary won the popular vote and he won the electoral votes. N.O.P.E. Not Our President Elect!!! H.O.P.E. Hillary's Our Popularly Elected!!!
-
Going to a N.O.P.E protest... really like the H.O.P.E for Hillary. Just can't see him at any kind of world meeting... Don't think his ego could take it. So he won't be POTUS, he will be MPMITU wondering what his cape will look like?! Better to go with an all red costume and cape, with some kind of GOLD emblem.
-
Omarosa's comments made me laugh... Am sure that GOD is humored as well. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-6 1Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither in spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 5Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things? 6And now ye know what withholds this that he might be revealed in his time.

Better to hear the quiet words of a wise person, than the shouts of a foolish King. A wise person chooses the right road, a fool takes the wrong one.
-
I filed my complaint with the Alabama Secretary of States Office for interfering in my right to vote for President. That is b.s. No one should be denied the Freedom to vote in the USA.

How immature the losing side. Over and over They made a big deal about accepting The results. How do think people felt when Obama won 8 years ago and 4 years ago? That side Wasn't happy - but has to accept the results. Now you get these rent-a-mobs saying How unhappy they are... It happens in Many elections - the peaceful exchange Of powers. Hilary did a nice speech after And so did President Obama. Someone Like a George Soros type of person put Out the word to the Rent-a-mobs. Similar To move on dot org... Occupy Wallstreet... BLM etc... Mostly people who grew up where Everyone got a trophy for playing kids Sports ... Where they didn't keep score But everyone knew it .... I have seen elections that I am not Happy about the results ... Even wanted The President to leave before their term was complete ... I lived with the results. It is the system. Regroup and try next time. Maybe pick your candidate and not let The rich elite establishment do it for you.

One thing is certain, since everything is under Republican control, ya' all can't blame the Democrats for anything lol I'm going to enjoy watching the "newbie" Waiting to finally see tax returns, and hear explanations of how the "changes" are going to work. Sorry if I don't have as much faith as a little less than half the voters... I still say words are cheap, "show me"...everyone seems to have a different idea of what "change" means, but what did Donald mean?! He never was very clear about it, was he? I know a lot of Trump voters seemed to think we are all going to be rich! I'm kinda thinkin that's not happening...

A quote I found somewhere (will try to find the source) "The media took DJT literally but not seriously; his followers took him seriously, but not literally."
