Technical problem
-
Hi Nancy R, strbfields4ever, Ospreylady, and sophie, I have reported this issue to the technical team. I know some of you have already reported this issue to the webmaster at the main site, but if you have not already done so, you may do so here: webmaster@paulmccartney.com Fingers crossed for a resolution! Anita

Thanks...I have sent an email to the webmaster. Hope the others will too. Please resolve this!!!!!! Before presale ticket info goes up!!!!!!
-
I sent an email to the webmaster ages ago and never heard a word! Thanks for reporting this Anita. And Ospreylady, just keep checking here on the forum for details on presales. You don't have to use Paul's site - I never have! Always used Ticketmaster.
-
Hi everyone, I have received a reply indicating the technical team is aware of this issue, looking into the matter and hoping for a resolution very soon. Anita

I have always gotten the details for tour dates and the code for presale off his website. Still, for lots of reasons, I hope this issue gets resolved. Thanks.

Oh, okay, I didn't know you needed a code. I can't remember needing one for TM, but it's going on 3 years since I got Macca tickets from them.

I got an email from the webmaster saying they hope to have this issue resolved in a few days.

The presale is for Paul's fans...before tickets go on sale to the public. There is always a code necessary to get access on TM. When they go on sale to the public no code is needed.

I know that (about the pre-sale I mean) I only got the Hot Sound Packages with soundcheck in 2013 and 2014 and I swear I don't remember needing a code to get them during the pre-sale on TM. Can anyone else confirm this? Anita?

Maybe that is the case with those premium packages, but in 2016 the regular tickets required a code to access on TM.

Ospreylady, Nancy R, and sophie, You're welcome! I hope the resolution is swift! Anita

Hi Nancy, During my years as a member, mod and admin, I have seen the process of accessing a pre-sale vary from tour to tour, sometimes even concert to concert. At one time (before my time here) individual passwords were issued with a two ticket limit as fans have posted about such in the past. Apparently this system was executed via email from the main site. I have seen ticket limits of two and four. Thankfully, for the concerts we were hoping to attend, ticket limits were four. To access pre-sales, I have seen requirements such as password, specific link, paid membership, and a time sensitive sign up period at the main site. I have also seen no password, no specific link, no paid membership and no time sensitive sign up period. Pretty much all routes have been offered here through the years. The pre-sale process depends upon varying factors such as where the pre-sale is offered, how much notification for the pre-sale is offered, etc. As of late, the process has been fairly stable in requesting fans to sign up at the main site within a specific time period to participate in the pre-sale. There has been a password which typically has been posted within the particular concert announcement as an "update." For example, Philly 2016 (please note "UPDATED" and the password "1ON1WITHPAUL"): https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/one-on-one-tour-adds-new-pennsylvania-dates Given that this has been the procedure for a while now, it is particularly important that fans be able to freely access the main site to receive this information. As many are on the go with their tablets, it makes perfect sense that there may be concerns should using an iPad be the point of entry to access pre-sale information. Once again, hoping for a speedy resolution and wishing the very best of luck to those hoping to obtain pre-sale tickets for the Tokyo concerts and future concerts. Anita

Thanks Anita, but all that info was in regards to Paul's website. I was wondering specifically about going directly to Ticketmaster at 10 am on the pre-sale day, as I did twice.

Nancy, you can't buy tickets on Paul's website....you buy then from TM and during the presale you will find no regular tickets available unless you use the presale code or password that is given to fans on Paul's website.. that was my experience in 2016. Paul's website just links you to TM or some other ticket seller...one sale I participated in was thru American Express, another was TM. ..but the link and password came thru Paul's website. Premium packages may be different.

Hi Nancy, You're welcome! No, all the information I provided was not solely in regard to Paul's website. I specifically chose to direct your attention to last year's Philly and Hershey pre-sales which were held directly through Ticketmaster, not Paul's website. Several of last year's pre-sales were held directly through ticket sellers, not Paul's website. When I attempted to obtain pre-sale tickets to last year's Philly concert, I had to go directly to Ticketmaster and apply the password "1ON1WITHPAUL" to gain access to the pre-sale. I was sorry to see no pre-sale offered from Songkick (formerly CrowdSurge) as needless to write, I was unable to score four tickets via Ticketmaster. Fortunately, my children and I were ultimately able to attend the concert as very near the concert date, I was able to obtain tickets. Once again, here is the link to last year's Philly and Hershey pre-sale information at the main site. Please note the pre-sales are held directly via Ticketmaster, not Paul's website: https://www.paulmccartney.com/news-blogs/news/one-on-one-tour-adds-new-pennsylvania-dates
PRE-SALE DETAILS - PHILADELPHIA AND HERSHEY: Pre-sale tickets for Paul's Philadelphia and Hershey concerts will be available through Ticketmaster from 8am (EDT / 1pm BST) on Monday 18th April. The password for this pre-sale will be: 1ON1WITHPAUL
The pre-sale process is an ever changing one. One of the reasons we do not typically see mods/admins immediately offer advice at the beginning of a new season is that the process may have changed. The last thing a mod/admin wishes to do is to mislead in the process of obtaining tickets. Once we see the new season's process, we then begin offering advice. I do not believe a password is required for the purchase of Hot Sound or Front Row VIP packages, but never having purchased such, I cannot confirm with absolute certainty. Many times I have gone through the near purchase of these packages in an effort to assist those who are experiencing difficulty purchasing such. I do not recall supplying a password to gain access to these packages. I have purchased the VIP Gold Seat package on multiple occasions. It has been a few years back since doing so. I do not recall providing a password to gain access to those particular packages. I hope this helps. Anita

Yes, thank you, that was the answer I was looking for.

I keep trying to access the website and the technical problems remain. The webmaster emailed me nearly a month ago saying it would be fixed in a few days. I am still stuck at the opening page with the photo of paul with the headphones and the two boxes with an x....red and blue. Neither works, nothing gets me past that page. Still using an iPad with the latest operating system and safari. It used to work last year. Anyone else still having problems? I emailed the webmaster a few days ago and got no reply.
-
I can't believe it, but the problem is not there anymore while using my iPad!! (as of today - yesterday it was still as the poster above describes) Oh, and this is using Firefox or Safari. Hope yours gets worked out Ospreylady!

Still doesn't work for me.
