Duluth, GA (ATL), Infinite Energy Arena - 7/13/17 CONFIRMED

I'll be back at it Friday to give it another go. No tickets today for me. Congrats to those that got tickets today.

Hi Everyone, Got my tickets to the show! Taking my 10 yr old son and 6 yr old daughter. They LOVE Paul. Couldn't afford a VIP package but I've seen elsewhere that they offer soundcheck only tickets at some venues. Which I believe means you already have to have a ticket for the actual show but you can do an "add-on" of soundcheck. I don't see it for this show. Anyone know about that? Costs and whether it might be offered later at this show? That would be a once in a lifetime experience! Thanks!

Steve, You have to buy either front row or Hot Sound Package to be able to go to the soundcheck. It can't be "added on" later that I know of. Where is this "elsewhere" that you refer to? http://www.axs.com/events/335441/paul-mccartney-tickets/promos/118602?skin=gwinnett

Yep, i'll be trying again this morning. Hoping for 3. Need at least 2.
-
Ready and waiting to give it another go this morning.

Try again Monday. If I don't get tickets this will be the first Macca concert in Atlanta I haven't attended since he started touring in 1990. Really hope to get at least 2 tickets on Monday so I can take my son, but have to stay less expensive for this one and there are only so many of those seats.

No! Keep trying! Tiggywinkle finally got a great seat! If you wait until Monday there will be no good seats left!

I'm keeping on eye on it, but I also have Billy Joel tonight so only a couple more hours i'll be near a computer today.
-
Good floor seat still available on the Infinite Energy Center's pre-sale (Duluth, GA). Floor 4, Row G, Seat 6 in case anyone needs a ticket. End of public service announcement. Lol

I am trying to decide whether or not to go ahead and order tickets that are still available through the AMEX presale. I' know there will be closer seats on Monday but I just wonder how quickly this will sell out. Google search says the arena is 13,000 capacity?? Quite small for a Paul show. What would some of you do?? I unfortunately missed the start of the presale and just now able to look at tickets.

I'm no stranger to buying concert tickets but $40 service charge per ticket is a little outrageous!

What?! For a regular seat you mean? What is the total cost? When I was looking last Wednesday for a friend of mine, the total for best regular seat was $296.50. ETA: OMG, you're right! I just went back into the AMEX Presale to pretend to get a ticket and the total service charges are actually $42.50!!! What's odd is that they only charge those of us who get the Hot Sound Package $3!

I know there's no getting around it, but if someone is buying two tickets, that's $80+ in service fees alone - the price of a single ticket to a lot of other concerts. That stings a little!

I remember in the "good old days" when Ticketmaster was the only game in town but they would only charge a couple bucks maybe (or less in the '70s!) for a service charge to print and mail the tickets! The only way you could get around it would be to buy the tickets at the venue. In 1974, my boyfriend (named Paul!) and I were at a Hawks basketball game at the old Omni and we saw that George Harrison was coming there in November so we got tickets for $7.50 each which we thought was a lot of money back then! (I was 19 and he was 21) Less than 2 years later we saw Paul at the same venue and I know the tickets were around $10! For some stupid reason I don't think I saved my ticket, but I might have. Would take a lot of searching to find it amongst all my Beatles stuff! I did save my George ticket and found it years later, so there's hope!

I didn't know George played in Atlanta! Very cool.

Is it likely there will be better seats released Monday than what are still available on the presale? Or are all the better sections really sold out? Also, I'm seeing LOTS of tickets already on stubhub so it makes me wonder just how many tickets will even be released tomorrow morning. Doesn't seem like there will be all that many left. I still haven't purchased because they are so expensive. And I'm not sure I want to pay $300 unless they are great seats in the front floor sections or close concourse seats.

And his voice that night was great - not hoarse at all like some of the other dates!

You can only try. If you go for only 1 seat you will have a much better chance of getting something decent. That being said, I think all the "great seats" have been snapped up. My friend was just super lucky to get one seat on the floor in Sec. FL3, Row P on Friday for the nearly $300.
