GO BACK IN TIME with Ringo11: story of the century!!
-
it's getting a bit low again... so this is a sort of bump i sat my last exam and it went well. the questions were easy. then i went on holiday for a weekend, and that was great but exhausting. now i have a full time job, not to mention my other part time job, so time is a little on the short side again. i can't win! but i'm saving hard to see liverpool first hand, which will mean much better writing i hope. i'll make notes so bump! ps. winnie1, where did you hear about this story? sis you just surf in? i've been plugging it in any other thread i can Chica Loca, great to have you back! i wonder what happened to your account. ah well, at least it's all sotred out now. sweet dreams! and keep those moods coming

I was just browsing the picture thread, and there was (under one pic of young Paul singing) written something like "hmm that looks like pic from 1959" so I clicked on 1959 (cause I´m really curious person) and then I was reading and reading end reading... so,that´s it.

Mizzzz Rings, I see you're working at your usuual frantically parapatetic pace and needing to put away the not-so-demanding things, like writing for us poor addicted fans of yours! Of course, we need to keep the thread as high on the list as possible whilst we wait, so here's a bump from me to you. Keep saving those wages, dearie and you'll make it to Liverpool! When are you hoping to go again? I'll keep on dropping by; peradventure there will be another installment byand by.

Ringo11:
sweet dreams! and keep those moods coming
Oh, no worries there. ops: Glad your finals are over...I have one more to go, plus a final paper I am (still) editing and really, really sick of seeing by now. Oh my, this thread has put me right in a mood again. ops: And I'm seeing Paul in a week, so the more reasons to freak the better I think (seriously I'm pathetic but he's sooo worth it). One of my exams was astronomy...now how is a girl supposed to study about Venus and Mars when all she can think about is the song?! But that exam is over, and only one more final and then the GRE to take, and then PAUL! I will so have earned it. And I hope he'll do a second leg in the US, but I'm not so sure he will...and then he'll be in Europe for summer. (crosses fingers he'll go to Australia/New Zealand soon for Ringo11 and others ) Gotta love our Paulie, no matter what year we are talking about. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go have those sweet dreams you mentioned.

aw shucks! ops: all these bumps for my little old thread i'm truely flattered. and i'm also truely shattered. i must surely be rolling in money by now, cos i've been working 12 hour days. and i'm SO tired! and this is what i do for 7 hours a day: take books off shelf, spray shelf, wipe dust off shelf, wipe spray off shelf, wipe dust off books, replace books on shelf, repeat with next shelf, repeat again and again and again... i've been listening to the goon show on CD for 7 hours straight every single day! after the cleaning and the dust, i go to my other job, which involves finding books for people who can't be bothered looking for themselves. that's only three nights a week, but i babysat tonight as well, and last night i had other work to do. that, plus a whole lot of peter sellers films at night, and i can barely stand up!! but i come here and see all my loyal followers and all these lovely bumps, and now i feel as though i'm on the top of the world!! thanks everyone!

SIXTY-THIRD INSTALMENT The nice man who saved you is true to his word (luckily) and when you have finished your cups of tea and warmed up a bit, he piles you into his little Austin and takes you across town back to Paul?s place. On the way he makes polite conversation, never asking questions too personal or too boring. The English are experts at polite conversation. Neither you nor Paul really feels like talking, but Paul saves you the trouble by keeping up a little banter with the man. When he pulls up at the end of Forthlin Road, you get out and thank him sincerely. He tells you it was no problem really, gave him an excuse to break his routine, and then disappears back into the night. You hurry to the house and go gingerly in the front door. ?You lot want a cup of tea?? Jim calls from the kitchen, hearing you come in but making a point of not asking too many questions. You pop your heads around the kitchen door to say hello and apologise for being in so late, and politely tell him you might just go to bed early and listen to music for a while, if that?s alright with him. He gives you a bit of a sly look, but sort of jokingly, and you say goodnight and go upstairs with Paul. You do what you said you were going to do, and both change into pyjamas and climb into Paul?s little bed, side by side. You feel warmth going from him to you, and you slip your arm in around his. You chat for a while, talking about your scary experience and Paul tells you a bit about what he did in class, but you don?t talk about the incident at the art school. Then you put your heads close together and listen to the radio through the headphones rigged up to Paul?s room. It?s lovely, lying there beside him, listening to old hits, being cosily tucked up while your nose gets colder and colder. You end up forgetting about the events of the day and melting into the moment. Then something comes back to you. His obsession. You are his obsession, not Stu?s. Well, he?s been your obsession for years, but you can?t tell him that. You smile to yourself. You are cosy, happy and a little sleepy, this is the only place you want to be right at this moment, and to top it all off, you are wanted. Beside you, keeping you warm, is someone who is glad you?re there with him and who wants you to himself. What a nice thought. ?What do you want to do tomorrow?? he asks. The sound of his voice startles you and you realise you must have been dozing off. ?On my own?? He turns over, your heads still close together on the pillow, onto his side to face you. Raising his eyes to meet yours, he says ?No. You know what? I?m not doing that again. Stuff school, stuff A-levels. I have more important responsibilities.? You know he means you. You know that in reality, he will soon be partly responsible for a revolution, so the statement is ironic. You try not to let it show on your face, that you know all this. He keeps looking at you to measure your reaction. You put your hand on his warm cheek and kiss him on the forehead. He puts his arm around you and holds you close. ?So,? he says quietly, ?what do you want to do tomorrow?? You think for a while. ?Go to the museum,? you decide, randomly. He chuckles and strokes your hair. ?Museum it is then.? Slowly and happily, you drift off to sleep in his arms.
