The UK World Tonight Thread
-
Seeing as the US boardmembers can have their own thread, the English speaking UK fans should also be able to have a place of their own - so here it is! This is where all of the UK fans can come to chat about Paul & everything British. First things first, before Talk More Talk was taken away, there was a thread advertising a London Board Members' meet-up - here's the details; We're going to have a boardies meet-up in London on Sunday June 11th, 2006 and we'd love to see all Macca boardies who are based in or around London there. We'll be meeting at St. John's Wood London Underground station at 12:45 - 1 p.m., doing a quick pilgrimage to Abbey Road studios to bask in it's history & greatness and, after photo opportunities on the zebra crossing, we'll be making our way to a local public house where we will have music, food, chat & many beverages. It should be great fun - hope to see as many of you there as possible! If people can confirm, either privately through a PM, or by posting on this thread then, nearer to the time, I'll give you my mobile phone number in case you need to contact me on the day. Andy.

Andy, welcome in the In The World Tonight forum. This forum is a unique forum. I know this for a long time now, because I'm also posting in the Dutch thread in mine own language and some other threads here. Welcome, Fea.

I knew the British fans would like to have their own thread Great to have you in 'the world tonight'

I couldn't be bothered making an Australian English thread. Perhaps an English Commonwealth thread would make do... otherwise, I'll just post here as a descendant of a Brit.
-
are the british wannabes welcome here?

Of course! I think you've spent enough time in Brighton to be considered an honorary Englander.

I already deleted the post I wrote (the mods would delete it anyway). I don't know what to say. Why are you posting in this thread? It says UK WT Thread, it doesn't say UK Thread, Proud Americans Come In And Be Offensive. Take your pride and go play some place else.
-
do you mean we can come here if we only speak english,,,, that would then qualify many many americans, nice thread to start. hope the meet up goes well, wish i could be there.

Our neighbours shake their heads And take their valuables inside While my countrymen piss in the fountains To express our national pride - Billy Bragg Moral: you don't have to denigrate others' countries in order to have pride in your own.

I am a would be Londoner and wish I could be there for your meet up. Another time, I guess.

Please excuse my fellow **ahem** countrymen. Y'see he fell down and broke his crown. So having hit his head very badly he made himself act very sadly.
