Silly questions for Paul
-
Opus, you are here! Oh, don't worry bout the steps of evolution titles we are tagged with here. Like 'Tug of War.' I know someone ...who was all the way to 'a wonderful sight' and for some reason this person, although they loved the title, went and deleted theirselves! Wasn't that silly? Yes, I did save the lunar phases to my computer. I had done that but when trying to adapt it to the avatar space it was 'too big.' hmmm? I will figure this out. Paul do you ever think about lots of things at once? You know like have a lot of different ideas and 'things' going through your head at one time? If you do, how do you ever sit down and compose music? Or does that all work together somehow?
-
Thanks 'moon' ... by the way, what was here evidently struck me as being something else that evidently is less than optimum to stay out here. I'll see if I can resize that image again later, it's on a different PC and it's sort of late so I don't really wanna embark on any new projects tonight.

It often feels to me like this board is just a tug of war, Opus, so I think I understand your problem. I am still learning how to fly which sometimes is fun. My progress is slow as it is a risky business to fly around here. I am surrounded by lots of cats (one of them I just took to the vet; I hope and pray she will survive) who are trying to catch me whenever I try to learn to fly. Well, I?m learning to escape. You might call me ?nemo?. Why did you choose the opus nick? Do you have a job to do on this board? Paul, did you ever try to learn to fly on this board?
-
'Nemo' ... that's rather cool, I like that. Nice to meet you Nemo. Yeah the board dilemma, to post or not to post type of thing. Just depends upon my mood I've recently discovered ... it's okay though, as you stated eventually I'll have a different 'label' thing to consider. Paul did you know that there are 17 different ways to tie one's shoelaces (and some guy has posted the details of it too :shock? Check it out: http://www.fieggen.com/shoelace/knots.htm I did knot know that ... I'm just concerned with untieing them.
-
I agree with 'little miss nobody.' It can be quite risky flying in certian areas around here. Hope your kittie is doing well LMN! Opus, that is cool about the piano. I bet you can play better than you think. That is nice music ideas just comes to you. Sounds magickal to me! After reading the shoelace site from Opus I have a burning question: Paul, I have asked everyone I know this question, but no one can tell me. Do you know how a lady would go about tying a Celtic Love Knot in her hair? I really need to know, it is very important! If Paul doesn't know, does anyone else out there? Thanx!
-
Paul, will you be my valentine?
-
Nice to meet you too, Opus. I am in the mood for posting now. My cats were very pleased with all these different ways to tie one?s shoelaces; they are very eager to help me trying them all out. I am sure we will find an 18th way doing so. I am sorry I can?t help you with the Celtic Love Knot, moon. I am not so tied up with doing my hair. Tough I might try if Paul explains clearly how to do it. Thanks for asking about my little black beauty. She is home again, without her teeth, left them with the vet. But she still has her paws to catch me when I am flying. Well, I was really worried about her having to be operated as she is 18 years old. So I am very relieved now she did well. Do you mind, Paul, me using your board to ventilate my worries about my little black beauty? And wouldn?t it be cool if the vet took her teeth as a payment?
-
Wow ... I completely missed the part where you described your kitty cat. I adore black cats, I lost mine last summer ... my little Neo cat. He was such the charmer, sweet little guy ... used to sit on my shoulder all the time. I've still got his sister Bella though, and recently got another one that I've named Sophia (means 'wisdom' in Greek). ... 18 years, that's amazing. You must be a really good friend to your little one's. As far as the name goes, hmmm ... let's keep it simple and I'll just say that I always wanted a pet penguin.
-
Never mind about that. No one can read everything on this board I am sorry to hear about your little Neo; it?s so difficult to say goodbye to them. I always get tears in my eyes when talking or thinking about my pets that aren?t here anymore. I hope Bella and Sophia get along fine together. I adore cats, including black cats; have my house full of them. My 18 year old black beauty has a bad history. I got her from a cat shelter about 3 years ago. She had been living there for more than 6 years after her personnel dropped her with the vet; she had an allergy for fleas and they promised to come back for her after they got the house flea-free. Well I guess they never succeeded in doing so, as they never came back for her. It really worried me she would be afraid I wouldn?t come back for her either after dropping her with the vet today. Sorry Paul, I am doing it again. I really am incorrigible. ops: Do you think we are witches Paul because of us adoring black cats?

Well you know, technically ... it's Doris' thread, and she's pretty darned reasonable about me going off-topic when I do (which is often) so maybe she doesn't mind. On the animal front, well I appreciate many creatures, you know if I had the time or the room I'd have some puppies running round I suppose. That's something that I don't really have much of it seems ... and it's not fair with some types of animals if you don't have enough time to tend to them appropriately. I've had turtles, a duck (well that was a neighbors, but we both took care of her), a little baby chicken that I raised from an egg when I was very young and named her "fluffy" (real original right ... my mom was not happy when the egg actually hatched) ... fish too, I've messed with reptiles when I was really young ... so it's not just a black cat thing on my side. Although it wasn't until I owned one that I was able to appreciate the bad rap that they've had over time due to weird idiosyncrasy's strewn through history ... sometimes that's the way it goes right? I mean until you're directly affected you don't grasp some things, if you follow my meaning. Mind you that's a summarization of several years of experiences .... Oh yes the question (this is completely off the already off-topic): Of all the Marx Bros ... if you had to choose a favorite, who would it be (i.e. Harpo, Chico, Zeppo, Groucho ... there was another one, but I can't quite recall and for some reason I keep thinking of Richard Marx ... not much of a fan of Richard Marx)??

Love hearing about your kitties 'little miss nobody' and 'Opus.' I must say Opus your kitties have very interesting names. Sorry to hear about Neo, Opus. It is so hard to loose animals. Just when it seems you really get to know them, they are gone. 'little miss nobody' how many kitties do you have? Of course I love black cats, but I love all cats. Just I find it good luck to come across a black cat. I don't like it when animals are feared or hated because they are misunderstood by humans. Like the wolf. I have lived with a wolf for 8 years now, and he is more docile than my two dogs by far! People that hate the wolf are just uneducated on the nature of the wolf IMO. But that goes for all animals. "What people don't understand they fear." Can't remember whose quote that is? Oh, I have a pet eastern gray squirrel too. As far as the Celtic Love Knot, it isn't supposed to be a hard thing to do? I figured since Paul is mostly Irish, and therefore Celtic, and into far-out things he might know? Although I am not good at learning new knot techniques very quickly, maybe Paul can come tie one in my hair for me? How bout it Paul? Seriously though, the Celtic knot theme is in jewelry design...but that is different. I became interested in it after reading a certain poem. Rambling too, aren't I? Groucho is my favourite Marx Brother. I don't know why exactly. I liked him when I was a little girl the best.

Well having been born on Oct. 13th ... which is the actual date that is attributed to the whole notion of luck being this or that with respect to it (has to do with the Knights Templar and the King of France if you're wondering ... he did them in on that date back in the 12th Century) ... I don't really put much stock in things that are inherited like that (fears I mean). Here's details on the Templar's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_Templar Now you "see it" now you don't ... magic is far too easy on the Internet don't you think Paul??

Opus, I really enjoyed reading that creation of yours. I had to read it about 3 times though. Strange, being at a certain point in my life I should read that now. Really neat. How do you write such things? I am very impressed! I just read it to my wolf and he is impressed as well. Since I have been in love with Friday and the number 13 and black cats and such, since before I knew about 'superstitions' I wonder if it is a karmic thing with me? I have only in the past few years been fascinated with The Knights Templar and really dig reading about their history and the Holy Grail. Upon reading more about them, I have naturally stumbled across many mystical things I see associated with The Knights Templar and their Cause. Very mysterious indeed. It seems as if it is coming full circle or so...hard to explain here. A personal journey of sorts. (and the things I have found have nothing to do with 'The Da Vinci Code,' I have never seen or read the story, but do not discount anything.) p.s.> oh, now I know why I read it. oh me, oh my!

Say paul do you play with marbles, or hopscotch love doris.

Hey Opus, we do have something in common! I have a black cat, he's about 8 yrs. old I've named him "Fuzzy Face"He likes to sit on my lap when I'm on the computer. Silly Question: Can you walk under a ladder after having a black cat cross your path?(on a friday the 13th) May you find peace this day and everyday and learn to laugh!*M*

Hmm ... nope, haven't watched the film or read the book. Although I've had a few people ask me questions about it over time (the questions occurred when it was still merely a novel). Regarding that one, wrote it back in November of 1993 .. one of the few things that I've written that I actually dated. Have a really bad habit of not doing that, sort of distracts me in the writing process to date things really ... so I've got boxes of stuff that I occasionally go through just to get a sense of things that I've covered over time. 'twas an exercise toward trying to break that habit ... ended up doing a few things in one night without any edits. Now ... 'liverpoolbride' I'm not quite sure what to say to you (don't take that the wrong way ). Okay, I think I'll leave it at that. Paul are there any songs that you tire of performing live that are crowd favorites ... or conversely any that you'd really prefer to do that you're less inclined to do to ... well, do to whatever? I think I better get some sleep, before I end up doing more than merely removing an emoticon .....

SAy what kind of jam do you like with your peanut butter love doris.

Well, I am glad Doris doesn?t mind people going off-topic in her thread (are you sure you don?t, Doris?). In my opinion it?s one of the funniest threads on the board. It always makes me smile. I just read some of the other threads, starting the day catching up on the board and they didn?t make me smile. Had to stay away for a while to recover from it. Well, there?s no rush to post here as you are all sleeping while I have already started a new day. And you are so busy while I am sleeping! Isn?t that weird? About the animals: when I was a kid we always had a dog and a cat. And a rabbit, hamsters, birds, turtles, fish etc. Since I left home I just had cats. First a little black beauty who kept me company for almost 20 years. And now I have my house full of them. Hey moon (please call me nemo too), I am not as wise as Opus? cat Sophia, I can only count till 3; so there are 1?2?3?.many kitties around? It must be cool to have a wolf around the house. I like dogs, but I guess I wouldn?t be doing okay being the alpha. I am happy to be the omega for my cats. Some years ago there was a wasps? nest in my garden near to the house. I was afraid of them, but decided not to remove it. We got along fine. I asked them not to come inside and not to bother me and my cats and they agreed to that. I got to know them and don?t fear them anymore. Hey Opus, thanks for leaving your poem out here. I like it, although probably I don?t understand all of it, English not being my native language. I fear part of your wit escapes me. I understand your fascination about The Knights Templar and the Holy Grail, moon. I think these personal journeys you are referring to are very important. The more you get to know yourself, the less you have to fear others. Translated in English my black cat?s name is ?liquorice?. I am kind of addicted to that. Fortunately we have a lot of it around here. So here is my question: Do you like liquorice, Paul? If so, I could send you some for next Wednesday. I will be happy to. Just give me your address. By the way, do you think you will ever be finding nemo? I hope I will.

Hey 'moon', you should check this link. You will adore the picture of the Wolf Moon. Paul, did you know The Full Moon in January is called the Wolf Moon? It is named after the hungry packs of wolves that howled at night.
