Exciting New peradventures of James Paul McCartney...

Yes you are right, it was called the Millinium Wheel when we were there in 2000. We were on a Beatle tour then and didn't have time to go on it and I think they said you had to have a reservation a month in advance or something like that. Of course it was new at that time too. Anyway I thought you probably went on it. That's cool that you got to If ever, and that's a big if, we ever go back to England that is one thing I would like to do.

Man, only a few weeks left of summer! Alot of people take their vacations in August though. Nice beach weather. Give me an idea for another movie parody....hmmmm... Things aren't going so good on Calamity Island...people are disappearing. The indications are...it is a large shark! Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum dum dum dum....da da da! Our hero, the sheriff of Calamity Island tries to make the local politicians listen, but "Nooooo!" They don't want to listen...they want the tourists, for the local economy. Our hero, knows the disappearances are shark related, so he watches down at the beach. Wait, he thinks he sees a fin!!!! He moves into action..."Everyone out of the water!!!" What a fool he makes of himself. It was a false alarm! Eventually, when enough people disappear, and without the people the economy suffers. The politicians give in and have a meeting on how to get rid of the shark. A guy shows up who claims he can get rid of the shark. He illustrates on a chalkboard. Actually, if it was made today it would be a marker board, I guess. Chalkboards are history now....but for this story, it is still a chalkboard. Him along with a marine life specialist type nerdy guy, and our hero get together to fight the shark. Cool cast, huh?! Whenever I think of three people doing something...I always think of the Stooges. Substitute the "Dum Dum Dum Dum Dum..." sound for "Three Blind Mice" (or "Listen to the Mockingbird"). What an allstar cast! Off they go! "We're Gonna need a bigger boat!" Did I mention the boats name was "The Orca"? "We're Gonna need a Bigger Boat!!!" After the boat is demolished. The shark...for some reason I remember the shark being named "Bruce" (but I think that was the mechanical shark, wasn't it?). Anyway, our hero is left to deal with the shark! The boat is just about to go under when the shark, Bruce, appears...and says... get this... I stole this from Pixar... the shark says.. yeah, you're on the edge of your seats aren't ya?! Well... He says... "Don't worry...I'm a vegetarian!" Podgie (Everybody out of the water!!!) Monkey

Hey, I heard Paul was on a Elvis Special on tv the other day. I think it was the same one I saw several years ago, where he plays the Bass that Elvis use to use. Hmmm...Elvis never played the bass. I can't picture him playing it. I can picture Paul as Elvis though... Podgie (Uh Huh Huh, Uh Huh Huh, Oh Yeah!) Monkey

I was thinking in may have been a show I saw years ago where he was playing with the stand up bass. Oh yeah, the Chaos and Creation at Abbey Road bit. That will be released in November as part of the McCartney Years package. Cool! Podgie (Uh Huh Huh) Monkey

It was the stand up bass. I actually think a bandmate played it...not Elvis.(didn't Linda give it to Paul as a Birthday present?) Paul played Heartbreak Hotel. This clip was from CCBY & Heather was in the audience on the original DVD. So it was about 2 years ago.

Right, it was Bill Black's bass -- the upright bass that belonged to Elvis' bass player. You can recognize it by the white outline around the body of the instrument. And yes, i think you are correct that Linda got it for Paul as a gift -- he says it's one of his prize possessions.
