Paul, Come To Australia

Kathleen G:
my sister is doing an exchange in Australia for school and she loves it! how could Paul forget Australia when it's such a nice place with great people
Thats so nice of you to say that. What part of Australia is your sister staying? I'm in Queensland (The Sunshine State ). I do love this country but sometimes you feel so far away from the rest of the world although the internet has helped alot. I suppose too it would cost Paul a small fortune to bring his show here so he may want to forget us. But I refuse to give up my plea.

she's in Melbourne

Hi Paul, Yet again I am reminding you to come to Australia. I have put money away specifically for your concert, and I will travel anywhere in Australia to see you. If I didn't have a phobia about flying I would come to see you anywhere in the world. Hope to see you soon.

Hey Guys, Haven't been around for a while. Isn't this new site fantastic. Cassandra, I have been hoping for a tour since Paul cancelled Melbourne, which I had tickets for . I am confident he will tour. The cost would not bother him. He as been here three times before (counting the Beatles) so HE WILL COME!!! Hope everyone is well/ Hey Chris, how are you? PAUL IN OZ!!!!!!!! Cheers Chrissie

Hey Chris, how are you?
Chrissie!!!!!!! Very well thank ya!!! And yourself?? Was nearly in your part of the country recently. Had planned a getaway with the gal for our 2 year anniversary, but unfortunately we copped some of what Jetstar has a bad reputation for, so it didn't happen We're coming over in June though. Will have to see what you're up to and maybe grab a coffee??

QUOTE...from a recent interview with Paul... Q Are you going to tour with this band next year? A I?m hoping to, yeah. My personal circumstances are sort of dictating that element of what I do. I don?t want to talk about my divorce, but it has a bearing on things like that. I want to get that settled so that I don?t feel that?s over me. So we?re going to be cool, get that settled. I?d particularly like to go to the States next year. We?ve had interesting offers from places like Japan. If he's considering Japan, there's a good chance Australia may be a tour stop.

Was just about to post this as well Drivin - nice work!! The thing I read was in today's Herald Sun (twice actually - although it wasn't meant to be by the look of it), and pretty much was a quote from him saying he's "dying to get to Australia", which sounded very promising, as I don't believe I've heard him mention us whatsoever since the 2002 thing. WOOHOO

Paul McCartney to tour - after divorce By Jonathon Moran December 09, 2007 1200pm SIR Paul McCartney expects to tour Australia for the first time in nearly 15 years as soon as his divorce from Heather Mills is finalised. Speaking by phone from his office in Britain, the ex-Beatle said he is waiting for life to get back to normal before he firms up his touring plans for 2008. "Next year I am starting to plan some touring but I don't know how much," Sir Paul said. "In truth, the whole situation is a little complicated by the fact that I am separating from my missus. "That kind of colours an awful lot of what my travelling plans are because I have got a little four-year-old (daughter Beatrice)." "Anyone who has been through this kind of thing will understand that she is my priority, the little one," he said, promoting the release of The McCartney Years DVD retrospective. "But I am going to tour. I just have to think a little more carefully about it than I would in the past." Despite his personal troubles, plans are under way for a world tour. "I have been dying to get to Oz for an awful long time," he said. "I am planning it. I am hoping for it. I would love to get down there because I haven't been forever. If we get down there, man, we're going to have fun." It has been nearly 15 years since the former Beatle last toured Australia. He played the Sydney Entertainment Centre in March, 1993 for his global The New World Tour, with former wife Linda McCartney in his band. Sir Paul was set to tour Australia in November, 2002 but cancelled after the Bali bombings that year. He said the 2002 tour was cancelled out of respect for the Australians that lost their lives in the tragedy. "It wasn't the right moment and very regrettably because of that we had to cancel," he said. "We didn't feel like it would be the right moment."

Hi, Hrm yeh -) .. but i'm over it now, i too just want him to come back and i'm pretty sure it was the people around him who fed him the reasons he shouldnt come here, just to protect his ego from the real reason, but i really dont think it was Paul who called it, it would have been from the buisness end. I went to the States to see the 2005 tour .. amazing and i'll be front row centre for every concert he does back down here in Aussie. Greg.

YYYEEEAAA!!!!!! Hopes and dreams do come true if you want it bad enough. I've waited for this announcement since 1993!!!! Hope all the front row seats don't go to people who could not care less, as they usually do ie.Press and social climbers etc. I want to go to as many concerts as I can afford, see how the finances go!!! PAUL IN OZ, AT LAST!!!! Cheers Chrissie
