I still hope Paul does it. Any news on Roger and Peter? They just wrapped up a tour, so they might not be wanting to perform again for awhile. Kel
They do have a tour coming up in the UK, Glastonberry and one at Knowsley ( Liverpool )....so they are keeping it going.
When does this tour start? I know they're not done in America yet. I thought they were, but I went on ticketmaster.com yesterday and got some tickets for a March show. Pretty excited. Anyone seen the Who live? I'm sure it's a good show. Kel

coming-up:
21st Century Paul:
Well... again I'm somewhat visionary... I posted a week ago or so... that, what can musicians do about climate change... some concerts? Here they come... I don't think the concert themselves mean much... people already knows about the thing, is not a thing you can hide... , you know. So, well... Maybe the oppossite would be better, stop all the music! musicians in strike... but anyway... I don't think... it would mean a thing... Things are not gonna change until serious things happen because of climatic change... like I said somewhere... Until then, let's go on with the show.
Its all that positve energy your sending out 21!
Perhaps... someday it would good for me to use all this energy to achieve the things I never achieve... There's nothing about the living legends on the site... Paul, Elton, Stones, Bruce, U2, Billy... etc.

It wouldn't surprise me, and it could be a cool way to warm up for any forthcoming tours...

I would really hope he'd pass on this BS Al Gore fest concert but knowing McCartney, he probably won't. It's a shame that so many people are so gung-ho about this global warming stuff that they're too afraid to actually question it. A few interesting sites to ponder: http://www.channel4.com/science/microsites/G/great_global_warming_swindle/index.html http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=YmFiZDAyMWFhMGIxNTgwNGIyMjVkZjQ4OGFiZjFlNjc Anyway whether or not Paul decides to perform I won't be watching. I don't like politically-motivated events.

Gore is a hero of mine. A man who is very generous to the causes he beleives in. I think Sir Paul knows the importance of this issue. We need to deal with our planet and what we are doing to it. I think he will show up for this. I would love to sing a duet with Sir Paul McCartney.

Who doesn't?

Looks like Pauls going to do it!

Hmm. Don't get me wrong, I love the guy. But if he ends the show, it's all getting samey, samey. Live Aid, Party at the Palace, Live 8.... Where was he for the Freddie Mercury tribute? I heard he wrote something in the tribute programme but I'm not sure what...
-
Hmm, just looked into it. Could Paul headline a concert set in Shea Stadium? As a scouser, I'd LOVE to go to that gig!

People News Paul McCartney's Live Earth Jul 4, 2007, 11:00 GMT Sir Paul McCartney is being lined up to headline Live Earth. The former Beatle is in talks with organisers about performing at the spectacular concert at London's new Wembley Stadium on Saturday (07.07.07). According to reports, former US Vice President Al Gore - who has organised a series of concerts across the world to highlight the dangers of global warming - decided to personally approach McCartney after discovering the strict vegetarian and animal rights campaigner was a fan of his documentary 'An Inconvenient Truth'. A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "It's true that Paul has been asked to take part. He said the cause is very close to his heart and he has been impressed with what Gore has been doing to highlight it, but he's still deciding." If McCartney, 65, declines the offer Madonna is expected to close the event. The 48-year-old singer will perform a four-song set - including 'Ray of Light' and 'Hey You', a track she has written especially for the concert - but it has not yet been decided where in the schedule she will appear. Other acts confirmed to perform include the Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Keane, Snow Patrol and David Gray. Genesis, fronted by Phil Collins, will kick off proceedings. The 24-hour Live Earth concert series will begin in Sydney on Saturday and continue across seven continents with shows in Tokyo, Shanghai, Johannesburg, London, Hamburg, Istanbul and Rio de Janeiro, before concluding in New York. Paul just mentioned on BBC 6 O Clock news as one of the performers for Live Earth.. He was mentioned by the newscaster during the intro to a report from Wembley about the concert but was not mentioned in the report itself. Neither did they say he was a late addition or anything else. Methinks I wouldnt bet on it.. but Lets hope they got it right!
-
I scored a ticket on Wednesday July 4th for Live Earth so here's hoping that Sir Paul McCartney will be performing there. He performed a club gig in London on Thursday, so he's obviously here and the reports are starting to bubble that he might be a late addition. It would be magical. Tim

Let's hope! I'll be watching for Paul.

It is for a good cause on the face of it, but these back slapping affairs always make me cringe.
Amen All these dumb ass "holier than thou" experts coming out to save the planet. Making Povert History...how's that going eh ?
