(((Els))) Thanks so much! A Fab time was had by all! The Fab Faux rocks! There was a slight malfunction with the speakers in the first part of the show, but happily it was fixed soon after. It was great to see so many forum members there, many that we knew and others that we met for the first time. Andy, I hope you got home okay and that the return trip was a little quicker.
-
So glad you all had a FAB time Fortunately it wasn't a wardrobe malfunction this time....

No it wasn't that...but you'd have to check with lindafan for sure as she is the resident expert in that department.

I love the Fab Faux videos I've seen on YouTube! They do an excellent job! I really like their cover of...I Am The Walrus from David Letterman

It was wonderful meeting you & all the others I had a great time I think it was faster - it sure seemed like a longer trip going back after all the excitement. I got home ok - about 2:30 am. There are a few stories to tell - like loosing my car ops: Maybe they are best told in bits & pieces. Re. loosing my car: BlueEyes & her husband came to my rescue Someone said to me, after the concert "You're Andy Schofar aren't you?!" A little shocked, I said "How do you know?" She said with a smile, "I'm psychic." That was HugeFan, one of the others pointed me out I should mention my first meeting Mary; Anita, her husband, and of course The 3 Tripplets
-
Now that the decompressing is finished, I need to say this: I feel so very blessed to have met and become friends with Anita and family, Deb and family and now to finally have met Andy. We had so much fun at dinner, Anita, Deb and I, talking to Andy. It was a blast! The malfunction that I can recall is a van breaking down in torrential rain! Thank GOD you guys were o.k. Deb. What was Dara's opinion about the Faux? I am very interested to know what she thought of them. The Fab Faux did the complete white album. I can't go song for song and give my review, I'm sure that will be done by someone more capable in the Fab Faux's own forum. But I WILL say that the 2 songs I was TOTALLY and COMPLETELY blown away from were Revolution #9 and Goodnight. I was mesmerized by the precision with which Revolution #9 was played. Each band member, along with the beautiful Erin Hill ( vocals, percussion, HARP ) and Andy York ( drums, guitar, vocals,percussion...) had so many things to do, (as you can imagine) I enjoyed watching their concentration. Each sound effect and spoken word was spot-on.I cannot even fathom the idea of somebody pulling that one off, but the Fab Faux have once again proven to me that they are THE FINEST, bar none, most musically dedicated band I have come to know. I would LOVE to see a video of #9 posted on YouTube. AWESOME!!!!!!!! Goodnight....what is there to say? The Fab Faux played that song like there was a full blown orchestra on stage. It was one of the highlights of the night for me. I love to watch the guy's expressions when the music reaches that level of perfection ( as I hear it anyway). I was watching Frank's face on a few occasion's when he just smiled and nodded his head with what I thought was pure joy. I wanted to tell him that I felt the same way. Saturday night's concert sealed my fate as a die-hard Fab Faux fan. I love and appreciate all of the hard work that the band puts into their re-creation of the Beatles music, their obvious dedication and love for the music, and for that I will be forever grateful. THANK YOU FAB FAUX!!!! Mary

(((Els))) Thank you for sending all of us that got together for dinner and the show your good wishes. You are very thoughtful! (((Chris))) It was great seeing you! As always, the girls commented on your beautiful hair, asking if I thought that theirs would ever get that long! (((Andy))) It was great to finally meet you. Thank you so much for the gift for the triplets. That was very thoughtful of you to do that! You are a nice guy, Andy! I am so glad that you were able to get your ticket duplicated ( ), and that you found your car! (((Deb))) What can I say to you??? Oh, I know......Two words......"Rubbed Chicken!" I know Andy and Mary will be laughing the moment that they reads this, as that is exactly what they were doing when you continued to make me repeat "Rubbed Chicken" over the phone! I am still envisioning Andy's face as he sat directly across from me at the table. After repeatedly having said "Rubbed Chicken," feeling the heat starting to emit from my red face, and starting to laugh, I looked up at Andy. At that point you asked me to repeat it yet again, I looked over at his face and said "Please don't make me say it again!" That's when Andy lost it! Not only did you have me read the entire menu to you, but then asked me to explain what they meant by rubbed chicken, as if I am Rachel Ray! Then after explaining what it was, asking me if I had been drinking! Andy and Mary were laughing so much, I couldn't even hear what you were saying! I am so sorry that your van broke down, but so very happy that the three of you were okay. We were all glad that the three of you made it to the show on time, and even had a brief moment to grab a bite to eat prior to the show. I had to laugh when you asked me if we could hold the table a bit longer. When I asked for the consensus at the table, Andy said "We're going to have to get some drinks!" The funny thing was, I don't drink, but I was ready at that point! It was good to see you and your family. We spoke with Dara again during intermission. She expressed how much she was enjoying the show. Please tell her that the triplets took their Halloween pencils with them to school today. (((Mary))) It is always wonderful to see you! We have so many laughs together! It was great seeing your family, and finally meeting Jessie. I was glad that you were able to sell your extra ticket. It was quite the night for ticket mishaps! It was great fun sitting with you at the show. Your funny comments and your reactions to the show are just a joy! I could really tell how much you genuinely enjoy The Fab Faux! So let's see......We had POURING rain, winds, streets closed off, no where to park, and thousands of trick-or-treaters in the street. One ticket forgotten, one ticket needing to be sold. A broken down van, and yet somehow we all made it to the show! The first question that the triplets asked when we bought tickets for this show was "Will they even perform Revolution 9?" Chris told us that they would indeed perform this song. Did they ever! The performance of Revolution 9 by The Fab Faux absolutely blew us away!!! Along with the entire audience, we were STUNNED!!! We have never seen anything like that! It was absolutely amazing! My thought during the performance of that song was Where is the cameraman???!!! That is one performance that needs to be recorded and widely shown! The forethought, the focus, and musicianship required to pull the performance of that song off is absolutely astounding!!! I took a quick look around the theatre while they were performing this song. You could actually see the amazement on everyone's faces. People were absolutely shocked! The performance of Revolution 9 was clearly the show stopper of the night, and something that we will never forget! As always, the performance of While My Guitar Gently Weeps was BEAUTIFUL! It is AMAZING what The Fab Faux does with Helter Skelter, and their guitars at the end of this song. Not to be missed! It is such a joy to watch these amazing musicians playing this wonderful music, pointing out one another's attributes, instead of trying to over shadow one another. Seeing the camaraderie between them, and seeing the fun that they are having performing this music leaves one with such a beautiful feeling. One is really able to see that they LOVE The Beatles music. An absolute joy! Anyone that happens to read this, has never seen The Fab Faux, and happens to get the opportunity to see them......Do so! You will not be disappointed! You will be absolutely AMAZED with The Fab Faux.

We stayed off the topic of politics - which is a smart thing to do. And we each stuck to that without a request on anyones part - even though I found out that 2 or more of our group read the 2008 Election posts ops: & don't post there like me. I didn't dare ask a thing We were just Beatles fans, Macca boardies, & Fab Faux fans meeting together And the music & our love of the same is what drew us together Again it was wonderful to finally meet you all (((Anita))), (((Mary))), (((Deb))), & (((Chris))) - the order in which I met each of you. I loved hearing Revolution9 as well - they were so good From the NYC standing room only concert last December it really was improved. Maybe it was part that it was so packed & that I was on the far left side of the stage. For me, that was the low part of that concert. And since last Saturday's concert Revolution9 was one of the highest parts. The audience gave a standing ovation - we were all blown away btw - since getting back, I decided to attend a Fab Faux concert much closer to home, this Saturday in New Brunswick, NJ I'm going to the 4pm concert. I decided against going to the 8pm one too. Both of them are undefined concerts - it seems that they won't be playing an album concert It's only that I haven't seen all their album concerts yet. I'm sure that I will like it whatever it may be

Alright, Andy! Did you get your ticket yet? We purchased ours on Saturday while we were there. Mary purchased hers then as well. The show was still untitled at that time, so we thought that it was going to be a mixed selection show. What a great surprise it was to find out that it will be the performance of Sgt. Pepper's in it's entirety!

No, I didn't purchase it yet. I'll get past this Saturday's concert in New Brunswick & let you all know what it was - so we all have a better idea what these "undefined" concerts being held in the day after tomorrow - really are. Might be Sgt. Pepper, you think??!! I'm also beat - I should get to bed soon. We'll see
