A little tidbit about RFK, my dad did his drycleaning in NY when he was the senator. He came in quite a bit. My dad said he seemed to be a nice guy. Not earth schattering information, but if you are a fan of the Kennedy (I am), it's nice to have seen then in a personal setting, like dry cleaning. Several years later, the owner of the pet shop on the same block as my dad's store came running in to tell him who just bought a couple of doves from him. It was Paul and Linda McCartney.

Hi Cesar (Cbimbi). Nazareth are a great band....you'll enjoy them. At the moment Benitez is denying he's had official talks with Liverpool but he's reached aprivate agrrement with Rick Parry our Director of football who is away on holiday for two weeks. We'll sign him around June 10/12th. Cheers Sam.

Hey Sam, Just thought you might like to know that we found a new drummer and are recording our first album beginning within the next month. We were having a hard time getting along with our drummer and felt that the personality clash was inhibiting our progress and creativity. But all is well now. By the way, enjoy Hamburg. My grandmother was from that city and I've been dying to visit, especially considering its significance in Beatles history.

Hi Denny C. Nice to see you back again. it's nice that your Dad knew Bobby. Jack and Bobby were good people and I get real upset when some folks slag them off. No one is perfect but their hearts were in the right place. They truly cared for us ordinary guys....and gals, heh, heh. Cheers Sam.
-
I agree Sam, I think their hearts were in the right place, public service was important to them. They were inspirational to many. That in itself is a tremendous legacy.

Hi Paulfan. I too have often dreamt I was back drinking and enjoying life with The Beatles. Pleasant memories. Hello Starr: Nice to hear from you again. I'll be back in around two hours with a mass post. Cheers all Sam.
Sam, IT indeed seems to be pleasant memories for you. I wish I could have been in your shoes when you knew them. This might be a carzy question but which Beatle do you think I would be friends with? Which do I seem the most like to you?

Hi Lisa I'll look forward to receiving the new CD. Any luck with Donald Donald ?? Hello dB I personally don't like `boy bands' as they're too manufactured and rely on looks and sending teenies wild rather than talent. To call The Beatles a `boy band' is an insult. They had talent and were raw untamed Rockers who relied on that to get the girls screaming. Their charisma always came second with them. Hi Paulfan You are probably a cross between Paul and John. I think you like them equally even though you now call yourself `Paulfan'. Funnily enough George is also a cross between the two, having both their main attributes....and then adds his own. Samcat I hope you're still speaking to me mate. Nothing personal...right ?? We just agree to disagree. Cheers all. Sam.
-
Sam, sorry I don't know Liverpool speak. I am quite chuffed to be leaving! Is that correct? No, she isn't happy about it at all, but that isn't my problem. One winter of freezing to death is quite enough. I will be so happy when Tuesday comes and I wake up in my new home.
-
Hi Maccascruff. Yes you'll be chuffed to leave her and that severe cold behind. Have a great trip...but not down the Rockies, heh, heh. Love and hugs sam xx

Thanks Sam. Paul is my favorite beatle and John my second favorite. I guess when I'm in a good mood I'm like Paul but my bad days my John side comes out. I called myself Paulfan because I couldn't log on to this board with the name Giri when it swictched from Wingspan and Beatlesfan was taken. Johnfan would sound funny too. Also I'm a fan of Paul's which is why I took that name. You are right though I'm probably a cross between John and Paul. I like animals like Paul does and I also have put on a tough guy act in the past to cover up things like John did. They are both great musicians to me even though I defend Paul alot. I guess my mood depends on who I like to listen to.

Hello Sam I intended no insult on The Beatles and there is a big difference between *Boy Bands* and *Manufactured* The following information is straight out of the encyclopedia; *MERSEY BEAT* Pop music of the mid-1960's that originated in the NW of England (also called; Liverpool Sound or elsewhere, Beat Music) drawing from US styles. It was almost exclusively performed by *all-male* groups of whom the most famous was The Beatles. *POP* Short for *POPULAR MUSIC* Excerpt; 1960's The Beatles and Mersey Beat transcended UK borders, followed by the Rolling Stones. POP became distinct from folk music with the advent of sound-recording techniques and using amplification, incorporated various styles such as.... 1940's Rhythm and Blues (Glen Miller played dance music), 1950's Doo-Wop, RockAbilly and the rise of Rock and Roll (Elvis Presley), 1960's Mersey Beat (The Beatles), Hard Rock (Led Zeppelin), Art Rock (Genesis), Blues Rock (Janis Joplin), Psychedelic Rock (Pink Floyd), Glitter Rock (David Bowie). *Rock and Roll* A type of *POP* music born of a fusion of *Rhythm and Blues* (RNB) and *Country & Western* based on electric guitar and drums. In the 1950's with the advent of *ELVIS PRESLEY* it became the heartbeat of western teenage rebellion. It found perhaps it's purest form in the late 1950's *ROCKABILLY* the blanket term *ROCK* later came to comprise a multitude of styles. The term was popularized by US DJ Alan Freed (1922 - 1965) Influential Rock and Roll singers and songwriters of the 1950's included *Chuck Berry* *Buddy Holly* ------------------------------------------------------ I recall watching a TV documentary about George Martin who played an important role in the recording studio!! I admire and love The Beatles because they used just a 4 track to record onto although with the help of George Martin, and of course The Beatles are fabulous, brilliant writers/performers!! Unfortunately Music became manchanical sounding with the advent of *Disco* ugh!! Today most bands record in these million dollar digital recording studio using samples of instruments such as, strings, piano, brass, woodwind, organ, bass, drums, percussion, voices and whatever to produce or as you say *Manufacture* music/songs!! Personally all my performances are *Live* I been playing with feeling, naturally since I was very, very young (Started on piano when I was 3 years old) I don't need to resort to pushing buttons for auto-play accompaniments, everything I play is done manually!! I perform vocals and various instruments then do all the recording engineer and audio master all by myself!! This is a lot of hard work that takes many hours and sleepless nights!! Sorry for the long post!! I just had to explain everything clearly!! PS: Did you see the article published by ABC News in regards to the memento : See article here at: http://www.abc.net.au/hobart/stories/s602028.htm All the very best, Cheers!!

dB I really don't need Encylopedias to tell me about the Merseybeat scene that I helped create. BTW it's one word Merseybeat not Mersey Beat. And as for the original Rock'n'Roll scene I lived it. I never said you meant the `boy band' thing as an insult. The Beatles were an all male band...not a plastic boy band. Also I don't understand why you're trying to belittle the Beatles Last Memento. It's worth mega bucks !! Sam.
