Doctor Who

You are sooooo funny!
-
Funny ha ha or funny in the head.....many would say the latter rather than the former....
-
uhhhhh... I think I'll plead the 5th on that question!
-
You're very wise and intelligent ......I always plead the fifth....and I'm not even American. I've always been a miserable little pleader.....

Yes, but what kind of Dr Who would you be?
-
I think I'd have to be a Jon Pertwee........who he you ask?.......check out You Tube they might have him in action as Doctor Who back in the 70's.
-
I LOVE Pertwee! He's my favorite after Baker! I call him the "007" Dr. But I also love Patrick Troughton! (I'm not as young as I look)
-
Lubiana I was William Hartnell's understudy for the first series (hard to believe I know looking at my chiselled good looks.......unfortunately my face was sculpted by Henry Moore... :lol ......and sad to say I didn't need any stage make-up to look as old as him. I love Patrick Troughton as well especially the episodes involving the Yeti's in the London Underground......how they got the turnstiles only the Lord knows.... ......they couldn't have had a suitcase, that's just bloody impossible.
-
You were NOT William Hartnell's understudy! Nanny nanny boo boo! A Yeti with a suitcase would look hilarious! I just recently watched the Troughton episodes with the Cybermen- fantastic stuff! He's definitely one of my favorite Drs. The episode with Pertwee and the T-Rex is just hysterical! that has got to be the worst T-Rex rendition I have ever seen.
-
I never knew Marc Bolan was in Doctor Who.........Riding a white swan?

LOL! That's a sight I'd love to see!
-
Maybe the Doctor came across Marc (Oooooh, I'm so tempted to be filthy here.... ....think David Bowie) when Marc was a Cosmic Dancer.

David Tennant quits as Doctor Who Wednesday, 29 October 2008 http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/7698539.stm David Tennant is to stand down as Doctor Who, after becoming one of the most popular Time Lords in the history of the BBC science fiction show. Tennant stepped into the Tardis in 2005, and will leave the role after four special episodes are broadcast next year. He made the announcement after winning the outstanding drama performance prize at the National Television Awards. "When Doctor Who returns in 2010 it won't be with me," he said. "Now don't make me cry," he added. "I love this part, and I love this show so much that if I don't take a deep breath and move on now I never will, and you'll be wheeling me out of the Tardis in my bath chair." 'I'll miss it' Three years was "about the right time" to play the role, he told the BBC in an exclusive interview. "I think it's better to go when there's a chance that people might miss you, rather than to hang around and outstay your welcome," he said. His stint in the show had been "the most extraordinary time, it's been bewildering, life changing, very exciting", he said. "And just so much fun, such a great show to work on. "That's one of the reasons I think it's right to take a deep breath and bow out when it's still fun, when it's a novelty. "I don't ever want it to feel like a job, so I want to move on when it still feels exciting and fresh and that means I'll miss it." Drama award Tennant, the 10th actor to play the Doctor Who, left fans guessing about his return at the end of the latest series. In the last episode, in July, the Doctor had to defeat his enemies the Daleks to save the universe. Almost 10 million people watched as the Time Lord apparently started the process of regeneration - but did not complete it. Tennant will appear in a Christmas special, titled The Next Doctor, before filming four more specials in January. "They'll be the four last stories that I do," he said. In a sign of his popularity, he was voted best drama performer in a public vote at the National Television Awards. He has been named most popular actor at the same ceremony for the past two years. That prize has been discontinued this year. An average of 8.1 million people a week watched the latest series - the fourth since it made a comeback in 2005 - in its Saturday evening slot on BBC One. 'Spectacular' exit Russell T Davies, executive producer, said: "I've been lucky and honoured to work with David over the past few years - and it's not over yet, the Tenth Doctor still has five spectacular hours left! "After which, I might drop an anvil on his head. Or maybe a piano. A radioactive piano. But we're planning the most enormous and spectacular ending, so keep watching." A fifth series of the show is scheduled for 2010. Tennant replaced Christopher Eccleston, who resurrected the show after a 16-year break. Tennant made his name in TV dramas such as Blackpool and Casanova. He started his career in theatre and in recent months has returned to the stage with well-received performances in Hamlet and Love's Labour's Lost for the Royal Shakespeare Company. In December last year, Tennant denied rumours that he was planning to quit after Catherine Tate - his new companion in the Tardis - told the Jonathan Ross radio show she thought the next series of Doctor Who would be Tennant's last. He said at the time: "Catherine Tate stitched me up good and proper. She goes on Jonathan Ross and makes up a load of old nonsense."

It's going to be a woman.......we all know that unless Russell and the crew get their wishes and Johnny Depp takes over the role for 2 or 3 years then it's likely to be a woman, and about time too. Apparently he cannot give 2 or 3 years to the programme as he's committed to other projects. Alex Kingston could be the Doctor or perhaps Alex Kingston is in fact the Doctors daughter when she is older?
-
Johnny Depp as Dr. Who???? He's not even English.
-
I know but Russell is desperate for him to be the Doc. It's more than likely that if they don't go with a woman it'll be Robert Carlyle (The Full Monty) or James Nesbitt (Cold Feet) with David Morrisey a close third.
-
If Robert Carlyle is the Dr, that would make my sister VERY happy. She adores him. Jonny Depp is a fantastic actor but I think Dr Who should stay English (or Scottish- at least be European).
-
The venerable Mrs Mitch is completely in favour of that Carlyle bloke......can't see the fuss meself, yawn yawn! I want Neve Campbell or Jennifer Aniston..... ......they could do an English accent no problem and would give me some very happy Saturday nights.....

Well the news from the deepest parts of the universe is that former Eastender actor Tom Ellis (who played Doctor Olver Cousins) is being asked by new Dr Who supremo Steven Moffat to take up the role of the Doc. Tom, 29, is married to former Eastender actress Tamzin Outhwaite (corrr!)........and has been asked to show Moffat if he can come up with a new kind of Doctor. Tom already appeared in Doctor Who as ironically NHS Doctor Tom Milligan in an episode last year. Have you noticed the subtle theme running through all of Tom Ellis's roles so far......well at least he should have a white coat and a stethiscope........although whether he's got a sonic screwdriver is another matter.
-
Okay, can we have a picture of this Tom? Is he a looker worthy of being the Dr.?
