All classics....love taxi (and cheers ) My late mum thought i modelled myself on this man.......i think you can guess which one

Moggy ......you know how to bring a tear to me old glass eye.....
The other ones we used to get likened to were Starsky and hutch and I was Hutch....I love me hometown.....not enough to live there mind....
.... but I still get nostalgic when I see the old toon and hear the strains of a Lindisfarne,= or Jimmy Nail tune and the theme to 'Likely'.......memories of sitting there with me ma and pa watchig this on B&W TV. So guess which one you are.....errrr......Bob Ferris!.....you can't be Terry coz I'm Terry....me mate was Bob and I was Terry, even got the clothes still......life has actually worked out pretty similar to those two reprobates.....
If you look at the programme you'll see those five blocks of flats together....well that's next to where Ant and Dec were brought up and I was in the posh end about two miles beyond that. Here it is, it's the bottom right of the quartet....

It is probably my fav tv show ever

The song on my signiture
the credit crunch ? -
Moggy (Mr 5 o'clock) The Jam were bloody good weren't they?....
I spent years telling my mate about them and his long hair and headbanging obviously affecting his brain and hearing and he could never see what I was on about......I even tried to get him to go to the second last concert (I think) they ever played together at the Whitley Bay Ice Rink of all places and he said NO! Now guess what?....he bloody loves 'em and quotes their lyrics inceesantly.....
He did the same with U2 before they became famous, Bob Seager and Elvis Costello.....I told 'im and would 'e listen?, would 'e 'ell as like! Strange Town always reminds of when I went to London to live back in the early 80's when I worked in the theatre........shacked up in a top floor bedsit in Balham, having to walk past all the 'Laydeeeez of ill repute' to get back home late at night. Hated it at first and it didn't get much better for the next 4 years......
The Weller snippet was Newcy City Hall not The Sage......although I couldn't be sure....it looked like the City Hall. They need to work on the harmonies a bit more and they could have a hit! As for the Likely Lads.......it don@t get no better, love the show and film......time to slip in the old DVD and dwell on times past......the 70's eh, who'd ever have thought we'd be nostolgic for the 1970's....that's how bad things are.....
-
Never heard this before......what a great song/ vocal /vid
This is the one that got me into the Jam........i am sure i would have liked them earlier IF i had heard themSusan Cadogan - Hurt so Good
Some Northern soul
-
Moggy Good morning sir mog......
I remember that Jam song 'When you're young' being shown on TV for the first time.....back in days of old when I was nowt but a Simon Callow youf.......and there's been a few of them....
Loved it then.....still love it. Now Norvin Soul......funnily enough never really delved into it....heard Maconie (I think) a few times on the radio pushing it and liked quite a few things, but I know nothing much about it really. They're good tracks though. The Susan Cadogan track I've heard before a few times.....really like that one. I've been watching 'Pirates of the Caribbean' (or Parrots of the carrabeenin' as my son calls it) this morning for breakfast.......
: ......I was half asleep. Will try and drag out some videos tonight when the wife and sprog are watching TV......now it's off with my chopper into the woods looking for some logs for the fire else we're gonna freeze our vitals off......I love this bit......NOT! At least the videos today haven't shown me in any compromising positions like yesterdays batch. I really must learn to keep my clothes on (wise at my time of life) and keep away from the front of cameras.

Good affy David I have played more Northern Soul over the last 3-4 years than anything else. Two good shows Russ winstanley ( the original dj from Wigan Casino

I was at this concert at Wobbly Arena........1979....
Check out Olivia Neutron Bomb, the late Andy Gibb and the Abbsters playing on a ONJ special 1978 on You Tube. Olivia and blonde ABBA sex goddess Agnetha on the same stage .....all my teenage fantasties come true.....Doesn't time fly when you don't know what day it is?....
If you don't like this then check your pulse.
.....shame it hadn't been my bed.....

OMG, totally forgot about this one.......I had this and played it to death when it came out.....along with this one.......the classic.....
COME ON YOU LOT!.......DANCE YOU BUGGERS OUT THERE IN NET LAND, DANCE!!.......Remember dancing jive style with my mother to this at the college she ran when they had their Crimbo party back in the mid-70's.....all the lecturers were standing all sour faced waiting for some Bach cello concerto to come on.....
Moggy does a mean version of this when he Karry-oakees in the local pub......,has to trap his bits in his flies first though......
You'll notice the serious threads.....Mogs normal daywear complete with floppy hat at a jaunty angle.......and no that's not why they nicknamed him floppy......
Try this...... Moggy's day job in the 70's.....the maniac bouncing around in front of the drummer and singing the middle bit is Moggy.....saw this band in concert.....
.....MAD ain't the word.
