i hardly ever watch tv......but i like this
What a LOVELY song!!! I could not imagine why I felt the need to visit this thread. I had the feeling that I had missed something here. Opening the thread, I scrolled down twice, finding this post directly in front of me. I cannot believe that this has been posted here for three months! I have now twice listened to this song. It is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! Certainly the video is very touching with the wonderful chemistry between The Doctor and Rose, but the song...... Thank you so much for taking the time to post this!

Waters Of Mars tonight ! Seems a bit odd to be sitting down to a Dr Who major episode on a Sunday evening, but the BBC schedules seem to have too many Saturday fixtures to put this episode in it's "usual" slot. In my case also a bit odder as work commitments mean that for the first time in a long while I shall be unable to watch it live with my sons They will have to watch it with Mum, whos' not that so into it, and I will get to see it on video tape later. I'm curious about the plot line as the teaser trails seem to outline the plot and the dilemma the Doctor faces. The BBC is usually quite astute about the show and not revealing the full plot so I'm hoping that there's much more to this than the trail suggests... Martin

We just finished watching The Graham Norton Show with guest David Tennant on BBC America. Repeats at 1 AM and 4 AM ET if interested. The Waters of Mars, Saturday, 19th of December at 9:00 PM ET on BBC America! Hope those of you watching tomorrow will enjoy!

Just noticed that the latest trailer for Dr Who has the words: "The Beginning Of The End....." suggesting some continuity with the Xmas two-parter which leads to David Tennant's transformation into Matt Smith. BTW Thanks Triplets Love Paul for highlighting tonights episode doesn't hit the air in the US until the 19th December. I suggest we avoid posting details of tonight's show ahead of that screening as the story-line secrecy is part and parcel of the enjoyment of these episodes. Martin

Seen Sunday's episode now. Usual amazement at the story and the quality of the production and special effects it's hard to remember this is a TV show produced by the BBC within it's budget. As promised no spoilers from me. But after the show the build up to the Xmas episodes begins with a teaser trailer on the show's web-site: www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho And news that the cartoon series begins on Saturday - initially only via the BBC Red Button interactive service - entitled Dreamland it's apparently set in the US' legendary Area 54. Martin

its was fantstic in HD and so many easter eggs

Update on the cartoon series: Eight episodes initially on the BBC Red Button interactive service BUT also on demand on the BBC's Doctor Who site: www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho Starts Saturday 21st November . Sadly the BBC video content is only available to UK viewers (apparently the logic of that it that UK viewers are the only people that pay the TV licence funding these programmes - and, of course, it reduces server demand). I might watch it on-line as I assume the Red Button screening will be on a rolling loop meaning that one might join the story mid-way through ruining continuity. The on-line will be streamed to your requirement. I seem to recall that once it has been rolled out in this way it will then be screened in full on conventional TV - but don't quote me on that. On the GN show, David stated that "The Waters of Mars is kind of the beginning of the end. The bell is tolling for The Doctor. Stuff will happen and life for this fashion of The Doctor will never be the same again." It will be sad to see the regeneration of our favorite Doctor.

I liked the teaser of the Christmas episodes shown on CIN last night....
-
Thanks David, I'd seen on the Doctor Who web-site that preview was to be screened during Children In Need but was at work. Wonderful that the BBC officially shared that world-wide through their YouTube channel. Martin

THE MASTER IS BACK

Christmas Day - and the best present is yet to be unwrapped..... 18.00 hrs BBC One see part one of The End Of Time, the two-parter that sees the passing of the Doctor Who baton along to Matt Smith. I must admit I've just spent a perplexed few minutes sourcing the date and time of part two - I had falsely assumed it was to follow rapidly along on Boxing Day. But in fact we have to wait a full week until New Years Day 1st Junauary 2010 to see the epic conclusion.. What's the news from the USA? Will BBC America be screening this any time soon? As if not we'll be careful not to post spoilers again.... Martin
