[quote="heather bells"][quote="loopy_lorna"]I also have to add that along Aikenhead Road ( a long road on the way to Hampden Park) has a Paul banner on every lampost!!! I am now wondering if I can scale lamposts!!! The one at Asda looks most accessible! Hey I'm planning to park on Aikenhead Road. Is that the norm? Can you advise? I want to be facing Rutherglen so that I don't have any hassle heading back home to Edinburgh. I'm not too sure if you can park anywhere near the stadium but cars can be parked on Aikenhead Road, if you come towards Kingspark Avenue and Menock Road there will be spaces there and right along these streets and then it's about a 5 min walk. You will have to arrive pretty sharp to get a space as the 'green meanies' (Traffic Wardens) do end up on duty at Hampden gigs and come out with their parking fines. There are loads of surrounding streets around the park too but it will be pretty tight, so try and get there early (ish). Here's a map with streets near Aikenhead road http//maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=aikenhead+road&sll=53.800651,-4.064941&sspn=6.855363,28.256836&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Aikenhead+Rd,+Glasgow,+Lanarkshire+G44,+United+Kingdom&ll=55.819609,-4.247289&spn=0.006365,0.027595&z=15 there's a few streets with 'Kings' before it shooting off Aikenhead road so I think you should be okay.

Very unlikely to get parked on Aitkenhead Rd. It will be coned off. Side streets are ok. It all depends on when you are planning to arrive.

so what , genuine fans buy standing tickets for gigs ? haha. so what people like me who is a genuine fan but just likes having a seat to sit down now and then is really a fake fan because of that ? lol
I see your point What I was trying to say is that i've paid a lot of money to be sat near the front at gigs in the past (the VIP section of Kings Dock being one) only to find people sat around me who clearly had no interest in the concert and were only there because it was the place to be seen on that particular weekend. A few of the 'fans' around me didn't even know the Wings material and were sat there stone-faced At least they could look like they were enjoying it!

What's that? Beer? I'm gonna try some Scottish beer while in Scotland, any suggestions? I pretty much like every beer except the dark dark crap like Guinness.

Bloody Marvellous. Thank You all for the info on parking. I've just booked the car into the Parkers Car Park. My sister is disabled and can't walk too far so I intended to drop her off and then try and get parked. This way all five of us will arrive at the gig together. It's worth twelve quid that's for sure. What a great start to the day. 4 more sleeps

I posted earlier that the soundcheck starts at 3.30 pm, however, I just received a time change, it now starts at 2.30 pm (I already thought 1,5 hour was short for a soundcheck that will also includes the bagpipe band). And.... officially announced, Sharleen Spiteri is the support act, she starts at approx 6.30 pm.

Not quite! Irn-bru is Scotland's locally produced fizzy juice. We are one of the few places where Coca Cola is not the top seller!! It's got a lot of sugar in it though. I personally find that drinking this all night instead of beer still makes you feel strangely intoxicated.....probably sugar rush! Chris

Hi all - really looking forward to Sunday. I'm sure we'll have a great show! Last time I was at Hampden was for Springsteen last year and while the acoustics of the stadium aren't the best, I'm sure we'll barely notice when the show starts! Like others, I've got no interest in seeing Sharleen Spiteri so will be heading for my usual Hampden parking spot (around Elrig and Monireith Road near Cathcart railway station) hopefully timed well to get there after she's finished!

No ticket till now
-
Glasgow City Council selling tickets £70 to £100 seats to staff for a £20 donation to sue ryder cancer charity
-
Just hope they're not sitting near me looking bored. If you're coming to the gig at least enjoy yourself!!

Does anyone know when he's meant to go onstage? I'm working earlier and definitely don't want to see Sharleen Spiteri!!! Thanks.

Spitchick starts at about 6.30 pm. I assume she plays for an hour, which will probably make Paul start at 8 pm. That's the time he started his Good Evening Holland gig as well.

Thanks Chris! So it's sugar with a certain taste I might stick with beer then
