Just wanted to say how amazing last nights gig was. Paul was oustanding, for a guy of 68 he put many younger performers to shame. A non stop set for over two and a half hours and he looked as if he could have carried on for another two and a half, (wish he had ) Just sad it is all over now For anyone who is interested I have posted most of the pix I took at the gig on my blog http://paulmccartney.nibblebit.com/ I have reduced the quality on some pix but if anyone wants higher resolution copies then just pm me. (the joys of being a noobie) ops: Still on a downer now the gigs all over, but it was truly amazing!!! Uploaded with ImageShack.us

Let me tell you, it looks like turning 68 has done great things for Paul! Last night was incredible, and honestly, I've seldom heard his voice sounding so good. He was amazing, start to finish. Paul and the band completely rocked Hampden. They were on fire, technical glitches or not. Maybe all you regular Macca concert-goers are used to it by now, but I still can't even believe how good it was. I guess Paul was making up for lost time, right? I was really happy with my seats, dead centre, section BB7, row BB, but during the show a friend came over and invited us to swap tickets for a while so we could go up to the front section and take pictures. My camera had actually died by that point, but I went up anyway. People in the front section were just dancing in the aisles, so I ended up just going right up to the front and partying, just as Paul started his solo for I've Got A Feeling. The atmosphere was amazing. I got a smile from the security guards. The set list went down an absolute storm. Letting Go and Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five were great, as well as all the usuals. The Live and Let Die fireworks were awesome. I'm surprised my voice is still intact today. Just everything. Wow. Thanks to Sir Paul and everyone. I'm still on a high. What an absolutely fantastic night.
You're so lucky you got right down the front, I would have loved to do that. And I couldn't find my camera before the show which was the worst, we ended up having to leave for the show without it. But in the end it didn't matter, I agree with everything you just said, and I am still on such a high, still! Been reliving it on Youtube all day. Fantastic, fantastic concert. I'm seeing Muse at Wembley in September and believe you me, they are going to have to pull out all the stops if they are going to match last night. Absolutely loved every second, my dream is now to get into the first five rows so I can make it right to the front of the stage.

No words can sum up last night. Best concert i have ever been to!

Okay, three words: That. Was. AMAZING! They say 'waiting is the hardest part', and while i kind of do agree with that, I?d also definitely say that the waiting is all part of the fun too! And man, seeing ex-Beatle, ex-Wing and all round living legend Paul McCartney in concert at Glasgow?s Hampden Park was COMPLETELY worth the wait! To start with, the seats i got were much better than I was expecting! They were in the stands (section P1) and we were the 2nd row back. It was an amazing view, although the security kept telling me and a couple of people around me to sit down. After the acoustic set we just decided we were standing and if people behind us wanted to see, well they were going to have to stand too! That may seem a little selfish but...it?s a rock show! Come on! lol and in the end EVERYONE was up and rocking so it was all good! Paul took to the stage and from start to finish it was an amazing experience! From his technical hitch right at the start (where Brian had to play Venus and Mars on his electric guitar because his acoustic didn't work!) to the very last notes of The End, it was an amazing whirlwind of music and emotions! It was SO good! The 'new' songs went down a treat, especially Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five, and the classics were spot on. My girlfriend said that while she can leave or take certain slower songs, eg Yesterday, The Long and Winding Road, Le It Be, My Love, when she actually saw the been performed live in front of her eyes she was mesmerised. And rightly so! I've seen Paul several times now, and without a doubt this was his best show vocally. I was a little worried after what I saw of last weeks Isle of Wight show on ITV2, but man, he pulled it out of he bag and really rocked it for Hampden! And to top it all off, Mull of Kintyre really took my breath away. When the full pipe band came marching out on stage behind Paul and the band, it really took my breath away! The sound and the power were beyond compare. Oh, and as for the firework during Live and Let Die...F*CK ME, they are immense! lol The merchandise was pretty well priced, i was expecting to pay more for the stuff me and my girlfriend got. We ended up getting... 2 programmes @ £10 each T shirt @ £25 Scarf @ 15 Tote bag @ 10 £70 for all that? i didn't think that was bad at all! Anyway, in conclusion, a Paul McCartney concert is one of the most amazing experiences you will EVER have, it really is. I know everyone says it and stuff but its true, words can?t describe how it makes you feel when you're there and every note coming from that stage resounds around the arena and somehow binds and connects each and every person there. It?s strange. It?s emotional. It?s magic. And if you ever have the opportunity to go see him, grab it with both hands, because when you experience that magic, there?s no going back. You WONT regret it! Josh

Feel like I'm never going to get over this gig! I bought a programme and a tshirt for £35 last night, which I really love. I'm wearing the tee right now. Ugh, I wish I could just give up my job and go to Cardiff or Hyde Park this weekend. They would be so amazing! I have got really bad withdrawal already!

Aye, it was a fab gig. Paul and band were awesome and the weather was great...superb

Absolutely superb gig. I was in AA7 about 18 rows back dead centre so great view. My girlfriend and two mates were seeing Macca for the first time and not really fans but were blown away by it. The guy has such stamina to play a near 3 hour set. The band were rocking, the sound superb and the fireworks...mental. Loved hearing Venus and Mars/Rockshow, Letting Go, 1985 and Mrs Vanderbilt live for the first time and then there's Pipe Band and Mull of Kintyre rolled out for Glasgow again, the man is class. Sheer class. One thing to say which impressed me. One of my other mates was also there and I spotted him and his girlfriend on the crowd shot. They were moved from their original seats to the front by a security guard who said Paul had left some seats for couples! Amazing thing to do and I must admit I'm jealous about the jammy git

Made it back to Holland tonight. Still not over last night. What a night. I'm surprised my eyebrows are still there. Geez. If you stand front row during Live And Let Die it feels like you get burned like hell. I have a feeling they took out the bigger bangs though, the beginning wasn't as loud as it was during the Good Evening Tour I think. Won't post a full review after all the great reviews that are already in here. It was the best night of my life, seriously. What a great gig. Can't believe we made it to the front!! That is so never gonna happen again. Security was a big PITA, the moment people stood up to applause for the support act, they came over right away and ordered you to sit down again. I'm really thankful for Paul's assistent who arranged that we were able to stand. The moment Paul came up everybody stood up, not a million security people could have stopped them! How exactly do you post pictures in a post??? I wanna do that. My pics are on FB but they're only available for 'friends'.

OMG!! I am still on a high, I won't sleep for days now! Now that my brain is partly engaged I would like to give a big thanks to all those that I met from here. I don't know all of your forum names, please tell me on this reply but I know your names and feel so blessed to have met you. It all started off for me on the Saturday night meeting up with peeps at Maggie May's for a meal and Revolver. Who were spot on! Those guys did not need mop top wigs and costumes. Their playing blew us away. So lovely to meet, Jolanda, Christine, Eva, Claudia, Allison and her mum Jean and of course the other Jean from France You are all awesome and so friendly. Glad some are on facebook too! Here's some pics from the Revolver night... http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v240/anyanka_vengeance/PM%20Forum%20meetup%20and%20Revolver%20-%20190610/ and then it was Sunday! I can't remember parts, I was so much in awe, shock and excitement! Again it was good to bump into Claudia, Christine, Jolanda, Jean and Allison again. It was so random how we all met. We peeked through the gates for the soundcheck, how very naught of us but it made our afternoon I tell ya! Then went for a quick drink and then a bite to eat of a rather, rank, not so nice fried veggie burger. Milled about for a bit, rescued Jolanda *coughs* and then we headed inside. My block was BB7 but those I had met were in AA6 etc...so I walked down to chat, and erm stayed there! Yay!! Spoke to Macca's assistant who is also most awesome. She said we could stand and I wouldn't stop thanking her and that she made my night! Paul came on, I got nervous and shakey and then before I knew it....we were FRONT ROW standing!!! Security had no chance! arf! I loved every moment, too many moments to mention but can I mention one? PAUL SPOKE TO ME!!!! I don't know if you heard, he asked if we remembered the 60s? I'm 33, I didn't so shook my head rather animatedly and he saw me....pointed for a bit and said 'You don't remember the 60s, then pointed at the young lad beside me and said 'you don't remember the 60s' and then pointed at himself....'but I remember the 60s'!!! I could have died. he pointed and winked to lots but that was 'my' little moment. If anyone has this on film or anything let me know, I will sell my soul to see that! The show was over before we knew it...those 3 hours rocked! Afterwards we hung about and did some dancing and singing to Dance Tonight played on my Blackberry. heh heh! oh good times! So here is my photos, enjoy and I hope to see you all again soon and keep in touch.
