Back in my day we had to...

Back in the day. I got caught instigating and starting numerous food fights in the high school cafeteria!
-
Back in the day my wood shop teacher had a board of education.
-
Back in the day, I stole my principal's board of education and teepeed his house!
-
Back in the day I rescued my brother in a snowstorm and pulled him on a sled up a steep hill off of a cracking pond. True story.
-
Back in the day, I rescued a kid from drowning in the river! The whirlpool almost sucked him down and I jumped in and saved him!

Back in the day I rescued my brother in a snowstorm and pulled him on a sled up a steep hill off of a cracking pond. True story.
Back in my day my brother didn't want anything to do with me even after I carried him home from smashing his bike up. We have since come to our senses.

Back in the day, many of us used to throw smoke bombs into the high school library which would trigger off the fire alarms! And because of this, all of the students had to evacuate the school for at least a half hour.

...Remember to turn up the volume slightly on side 2 of "Abbey Road" because the "John side" was a bit louder than the "Paul side." "I remember John saying even before they began the album that he wanted all of his songs on side 1 and all of Paul's on the other!" -- an EMI engineer whose name escapes me, for the moment...

It resembles a flagpole with a disc mounted flat on the top. The disc spins with four chains hanging down evenly spaced. At the bottom of each chain is a stirrup that you slipped your foot through. The ground is slightly inclined so you could run around the pole lift your feet hold the chain with your hands and land back on the high part of the incline again. The faster you ran and jumped the higher orbital centrifical force would take you. You could even get some oval shaped orbits going if you were good enough and you were fearless. Lots of injuries but tons of fun. We called it a twirly gig. Might be known by another name unknown by me.

Wow!! that's it! The one with the cement base. Exactly it. Never knew that is what it is called. Still have scars from that. Picture that with the ground being inclined about 1' drop to 4' run. Thanks for that love2travel.

Back in the day we did do the May Pole on May 1st. But it was very tame. We all had ribbons tied to a pole. It was a kindergarten tradition I think.
