Vienna, Austria - Stadthalle - 12/5 - CONFIRMED

Damn, I just got back from holiday and learned about this gig. What a nice surprise it would be if it only wasn't sold out. I will be checking the site, hoping for some floor ticket close to the stage to pop up.

Another concert in Vienna: December 6th!

Thank you, Carlos! I will keep my eyes on this one and I will deffinitely go! Is twitter the only place it has been announced so far? No word on PMc.com. Any ideas about a pre-sale? Monday 9 a.m. maybe? Anyway - great news for me, thanks again!

Personally, I think he shouldn’t be doing shows on consecutive nights. It’s a huge strain on the voice of a 76 year old. The Stones do 2 shows a week when on tour and as a result, Mick Jagger’s voice is still very good.
Mick was strongly advised not to perform shows on consecutive nights by his doctor 15 years ago when he was a mere 60 and he’s stuck to it. Paul’s a year older and should do the same. I also wish he would break his habit of not drinking water on stage - that would surely help him. Looking forward very much to seeing him in Kraków anyway.
-
Very true, grzegorz67. On the other hand, as much as Pauls voice has been a very fragile instument in the past few years, when he plays those back to back nights , his voice doesn't seem to be worse on the second night. I only saw him on two back to back nights once - in Amsterdam in 2015 and he sounded surpriyingly a bit stronger the second night - his voice was really quite weak on both nights though, he sounded much better when I saw him twice in 2016.
-
Happy24,
He probably paces himself carefully when doing consecutive nights, leaving something in reserve for night 2, when he can give it a bit more if he has it. I also saw 2 shows in 2016 - Paris and Werchter(front row dead centre!) and thought he sounded better than in 2016.
This ‘No Water’ thing drives me nuts. Mick Jagger drinks litres of the stuff on stage and it clearly helps him. Btw, do you post on IORR too under the same name? I do. There are loads of us around who love both the Stones and the Beatles even though they were rivals. To me it’s brilliant to have had them both!

VIP packages will be available on July 26th, so maybe regular tickets will be offered at the same time? Good luck!

I agree, especially about him not drinking water! Mick Jagger, however, to me never came close to having the great voice Paul had in his prime! (Meaning I wouldn’t notice a decline like I do with Paul)

I tried to get tickets for the second Vienna show today, didn't buy anything. The pre-sale was a joke. I was at oeticket.com the very second the pre-sale started and at stadthalle.com two or three seconds later.
The first 4 rows on the floor by the stage are for 490E, no way I would pay that. The next 20 rows or so are for 250E. Also a total rip-off, but yeah, I would pay that for say the 5th or the 6th row in the center block, even though it is too much even for the first row.
Okay there were like 10 of those 490E tickets available and the best for 250 were either in the 10th row of the center block or a couple of closer tickets on the very sides. That would be the worst place at McCartney concert for by far the biggest bucks I would have ever bought. No way. Looking at the stands, whole blocks were not even put on sale. I was sitting in front of a computer for more than an hour, constantly refreshing and didn't spot a single ticket I would be willing to buy.
Where are all those good tickets in the blocks closest to the stage? (It is quite a lot of tickets). Were they not put on sale and will they be randomly appearing? Did the promoter directly put them on re-selling sites for inflated prices? Are they part of the overpriced packages? It is a shame either way.
If this is the way this game is played now, I am out. My wife wanted to come with me this time, it would be her first time seeing Paul and I was quite excited about it, but no, not like this. Of couse, I will be checking the site, I know there is a chance that I will get what I want, but it deffinitely leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Yeah, it has been like that with concerts for quite some time now and I am more and more tired of it...
Of course, the concert will be quickly sold out because of an overwhelming demand. Sure...
Edit: Now, 1,5 hour after the pre-sale started, there are 48 tickets in the 5th-12th row of the "Orchester," for 421-899 Euro (250 Euro tickets) on Viagogo

Some nice tickets for the second date (06/12) now available: https://www.wien-ticket.at/en/shop/index.php3?shopid=263&setsession=81docbh3tckirks0nd06aueaa29355&gotoperformance=133315&language=2
I bought 2 tickets in the 12th row of the center block of the orchester, there are still 15 tickets available in that row. I really wanted to be closer, but I guess this will do just fine. And yeah, I am bringing along my wife for the very first time!

... and other floor seats for the second show are now also available here: https://www.oeticket.com/paul-mccartney-wien-tickets.html?affiliate=EOT&doc=artistPages%2Ftickets&fun=artist&action=tickets&key=2245430%2411027673&jumpIn=yTix&kuid=502041&from=erdetaila
