I heard that maybe it was dropped to meet the curfew there? I don't know though.

WTF no BAND ON THE RUN tonight? Was that cut for time or just plain dropped from the setlist. Disappointed but otherwise great show. Next stop for me Green Bay
Wow...can't remember the last time he dropped Band On The Run in a full concert! Did he bring any one up on stage last night?
No one was brought on stage. I heard that Band on the Run was dropped because of his voice...(which btw sounded ok to me) and that it was his choice to drop it. All the tech was ready to go so it wasn’t a mistake or surprise, apparently.

Where did you hear that? Everything I heard contradicted that. He sounded fine on BOTR on the 30th in Greenville!
Also, heard someone was brought up by Brian, but Paul had already started Golden Slumbers and she was left standing on the side of the stage. They said Paul did wave at her. A guy wrote this on FB:
When he was handing off his flags to the guy he whispered to the guy for about 10 secs, then the guy walked down to brian riddle, whispered to him and Brian ran and grabbed the fan, so paul definitely had the intention of bringing her up but he never announced her coming up so I guess brian didn't know what to do at that point really weird, during birthday I saw him wave to her on the side, so he definitely knew she was there

Agree his voice sounded good, especially with the criticism he has taken over it recently. I cant help but think his drinking water during the set helps. He had a sports bottle with him that he drank from as he was on the riser to do Blackbird and Here Today

Not firsthand; somebody who talked to somebody on the crew. So who knows what the real reason was. I did think about curfew at first, also.
Also, one other cool moment - when Paul did his little bit about "when we play an old song, there are lights everywhere, galaxy of stars, etc; but when it's an old song, it's like a black hole" and then launched into Fuh You, people all over the arena held up their cell phone lights! (as what usually happens during Let it Be). "Galaxy of stars" for a new song. Paul was very surprised and very pleased!

You meant “but when it’s a new song, it’s like a black hole.” He did the same bit (of course) in Greenville.

oops yes I did mean "new song." Yes he did that bit at the shows last year, too; but I've never seen an audience actually turn their lights on for the new song after he's said it. That was a first!

Found this on FB. That photo is my favorite one that Linda took (May 19, 1967 at Sgt. Pepper launch party)
