Nice painting. I love the old masters. I want to branch out into animals. I just love Robert Bateman's work. The animals look soooo real!

Haven't been here for quite a while. I have been producing--mostly--just not uploading. Anyways, I seem to be having a Vera Wang/Stella MacCartney moment. I'm sketching bridal designs. (NO! Nothing's happening.). I just got fed up with the repeditive skin, skin and more skin gowns. I wanted to see something more elegant--like Kate Middleton's. I also decided in this modern age there should be designs for a pants ensemble.. So that's what I'm doing. I just designed a harem pants, matching fitted cami, with coat set. All trimmed with lace of course! Comes with what I call a saucer cap encrusted with clear rhinstones. The coat has an attached rhinstone encrusted empire waist belt, and does up with clear little faux jewell buttons above the belt In cream colour. Hmmmm...whatta ya think Vera????? Stella????

Hi, nice picture, I paint too, I've been trying to do it for 8 years now, I've succeeded in some things, but I still need to try and develop further. As they say the main thing is not to stop!

Would love to see more of your works. Setting up a painting area in my craft room. Looking forward to giving it a go. What do you guys recommend, acrylics, watercolors? I’m open to any suggestions...

Wow. Great thread. Thanks Laura. Your painting is very beautiful. It fascinates me. It reminded me of someone on YouTube I discovered a year ago. She does oil painting. It's really beautiful.

I wish I could do that. But I have a little handicap. But that is also an advantage. I am very sensitive to colours. So I can see several colours in one. But when there are too many colours, my eyes and my poor little head are exhausted. That's why I turned to charcoal. But I still love manipulating colours. It's very fascinating. Here is a little drawing I did with charcoal a few years ago.

https://www.deviantart.com/little-willow44/art/Cheval-au-fusain-875311532Wow enjoyed your charcoal drawing of the horse. Charcoal cannot be painted over so it seems you can never make a mistake. That seems like a risky choice, unless you are very good at drawing!

I'll be uploading some newer stuff soon. But first I gotta figure how to get some onto my computer--they're bigger than my scanner.
Love the horse! You should see the one I tried--very amateurish! Did a good turtle tho......maybe I'll upload that next.
