Hi Sam, I bought the American English "What If?" Cd at AROTR. It's great and I recommend it highly. Does AE have anything to do with your pick for best guitarist? If I could pick any guitarist, I would have to pick George, but I get the feeling you are thinking of someone not so "established." I can't wait to hear your choice on Sunday. The TV special on the Red Square concert was really something special. For those of us who lived through the days of the Cold War, when we were taught in school to get under our desks during bomb drills, in case the Russians dropped an atom bomb on our heads, this was really quite an accomplishment and it brought tears to my eyes quite often. Seeing Paul with Putin and Gorbachev and the interviews with the Russian Minister of Defense who learned English because of the Beatles---as Paul said, "It was magic." You will enjoy the show quite a lot, I think. I taped it also. Let me know if your copy doesn't arrive soon although I'm sure it will be released on DVD and/or CD sometime soon. Take it easy, recovering from good ole jet lag. The older I get, the longer it seems to take to recover. Oh well. Love and hugs, Jennifer

Sam If you say this guy is good i'll take your word for it! He must be something pretty amazing! looking forward to finding out who he is!
-
I don't really have a favorite guitarist so I'll just vote for Clapton!

Hi Gang A mass reply as I should really be in bed and I'm very tired. Christina (Harley Blues). Geoff Baker wasn't fired. Paul was having a joke and some idiot took it seriously. And who is your guitarist choice ? Jennifer. Nice to hear from you and thanks for liking the `What If' CD and the plug. Swaying Daisy and Starr. Thanks for your interest too. All will be revealed on Sunday. A clue though. His first name is Joe. Cheers. Sam.

its not Joe Walsh is it?
-
Sam, YEs the Moscow concert was fabulous. I hope you enjoy the video as I know you will.

Hi Everyone. First a few explanations. For some reason my old laptop is slowing down and taking ages just to regisiter a post on here. So for now I'll have to post mass replies to everyone. Hope that's okay. I do have a new Laptop, a Dell. which I'll start using sometime next week. Sara (Starr). No it's not Joe Walsh. Christina (Harleyblues). I hope there's nothing wrong with going `all English', heh, heh. Your choice for Boss Guitar man isn't mine though. Geoff admits he was `sacked' temporarily but Macca being a nice guy relented not long afterwards. Paul likes to have a laugh and I knew he was kidding even if Geoff wasn't sure. It must be awful to be on a night out with the boys and fellas keep shoving cameras up your nose. I'd tell them where to go as well. Chris Hello to the newest member of our group of friends, who had never heard of me (I'm snarling here). But I'm glad you know now. You must be quite young, right ?? Compared to me everyone is. I'll reveal MY candidate for the current `World's best guitarist' tomorrow at High Noon Eastern US time. He's absolutely brilliant !! And sings great too !! Cheers. Sam. Chris The new member of our little group of friends.

Hi Sam, I'm interested to hear who you think the greatest guitar player is. Hope your having a nice day. I agree with you on Paul and the photographer incident. It must be a pain having to deal with them everywhere you go. I think Paul's done a fine job over the last 40 years or so in dealing with them. Unfortunate incidents are bound to happen occasionally. To bad the press wants to make such a big issue about it, but I guess it shows that there is still a huge interest in Paul.

Hi Swaying Daisy You're right too. But to be fair Paul receives more good publicity than anyone else on Earth...so a little `iffy' stuff won't hurt him. And Geoff is great at what he does. I'm off to a footbal match now to see Liverpool FC...my team !! Love and hugs. Sam.

Hi Sam My computer, too doesn't work that great with the site. I often don't get emails updating me whenever someone posts & I need to get off AOL on to Interbet Explorer to access the site -- the last site was much more user friendly for me! Cheers! Mike

Sam After going to Anfield -- am looking forward to getting into the football season -- I know Liverpool didn't get off to a hot start but who is looking now? Enjoy the game -- I'll start going myself to the pubs and checking them out myself. Mike

I'm waiting for our new guitar hero (Joe..l Satriani?? I guess the answer's NO). Anyway we all are eager to know him I think... Hey, hey, my, my, rock'n'roll will never die My, my, hey, hey, rock'n'roll is here to stay. Neil Young. GO Johnnie GO! mmm... When I was at high school I went to see rehearsals of a band of a friend of mine. A lot of bands practised in this place, so you hear first one, then another and so... I remember one named "Pink Panthers"??? (maybe). His guitarist was fabulous. Dunno what has become of him. When the band stop playing and went home he keep playing alone. That was the real show. It was the Hendrix-style, even biting the strings LOL. It's easy to say... he was as good as Hendrix. mmm... I was too young then, so I don't dare to say this. But he was pretty good, got many offers to play as a studio-musician in several recordings. I think he wasn't a composer, so he got things more difficult, but I'm not sure. Anyway as I don't play the guitar I always have a special feeling about the Johnnies B.Goode, guitar heros... Love them.
