I doubt it. He didn't mention him in the intervew this morning. I'm actually wondering if it will be a double bass, like in an orchestra, rather than a bass guitar. Since he'll also be accompanied by a cello it could be. Or I could just be completely wrong.
Yes I doubt it too, but you never know
I think you're right with the bass
I think Rusty named the bassist on the radio this morning. He implied all the musicians were from the UK. He said it was great to be able to travel around and hook up with different musicians in different places.

UU is fantastic, but I don't think it'll chart that high, as so few people over here know of him, and to be honest, we only know of him through Paul.

You're right, but I think it's so unfair that only FEW of us know about him and just because of Paul. Did you see him at any shows in London?
-
Is there any way to know how many copies UU have sold?

I think only one person can help us to find out it - Corinne.

I already posted this in the Rusty In London thread.... Saw him at The Bedford on Thursday - he was just brilliant. He had a bass player, a cello player and a percussionist supporting him - they were excellent. During the first set, he played Electric Trains and Sentimental Chaos. They were AMAZING - his voice was out of this world. For the second set, he played Hurt Myself and got the audience to sing along with the 'do do' bit and finished up with Devil's Spaceship. The more acoustic type sound was brilliant. The songs sounded like they do on UU but sounded so fresh and different at the same time because of the different instruments. Friday - he was at The 12 Bar Club. This time, he sang all the songs from UU except Ishmael. Damaged Goods - OMG!!!!! Catbox Beach - unbelievable!!!!! The venue was quite small, so it was a real privilege to be able to watch him play the guitar from close up. He was just brilliant. To see him perform his own songs was just a wonderful experience. ...but thought I'd better add the detail that people here might be interested in: Thurs - he wore faded black jeans and a blue denim shirt Fri - he wore brown cord trousers, a lilac shirt and a brown pinstripe jacket [he took the jacket off before playing]. A friend of Rusty's, Ofer Moses [?], played a short set - folky music. He was great. Rusty played bass and sang backing vocals for him on two songs. UU has seen some changes for the release over here. The front cover is now the picture from inside the booklet - the one where he's lying on a springboard or something. The old front cover [the fish] is now the back cover. The picture that used to be on the back is now inside the booklet. The new track order is: Hurt Myself Devil's Spaceship Electric Trains Damaged Goods Coming Down To Earth Ol' Sparky Catbox Beach Ishmael Sentimental Chaos Everybody Deserves An A In This Country

I?m just back from London. One word ? WOW!!!! Rusty and his band were outstanding. It was such a pleasure to hear him perform his own music in such intimate settings. On Friday night, we were standing less than four feet away from him! The songs sounded so different performed acoustically, but they didn?t lose anything at all ? in fact, one or two of them sounded even better. Sentimental Chaos was my favourite from the shows. I can?t describe how good it sounded to me. Rusty?s guitar work was beautiful on it and the cello sounded amazing. Coming Down to Earth was lovely too, and Electric Trains. His bass player, Henrik, sang all of the harmonies and he did great job. I took a couple of photos from both nights, so if they turn out ok I?ll post them. I also got my UU cover signed by Rusty!!!!

We spoke to him very briefly - I think everybody in the room got to have a quick word with him. We asked him to sign our UU covers and he asked us our names and where we were from. We told him the show was fab and he thanked us for coming. He was lovely!

If you want to - that's fine. Let me know if you want me to do a 'best' version, though. Like Fi, I'll let you know if I think of anything else.
