Yay! Sam, how is the writing going? Any idea when you can share more details with us?

Hi Sam aww isnt this depressing?? Chicago, tantalizingly close to the Series last year, lost another chance Saturday. A loss to Atlanta, the Cubs' fifth straight, eliminated them from the NL wild-card race. Playoff attention now turns elsewhere: to Giants-Dodgers (in progress) and Astros-Rockies

Hello all! I have been strucken by that damned cold that has been floating around, and it seems that when i get it, i get it the worst. I am sitting here, typing this, with a scarf around my neck to keep it warm. My lip is inflated with the devil himself...a cold sore (which i never get ), and my nose is backed up so far that i can hardly breathe out of my mouth!!!! So, what do i do? I take 5 Vitamin C pills and take my Rockin' The City book accross the street and park myself in a chair at the local coffee shop. Its the best relief of all, reading. And not just reading, but reading aboout the Beatles!!! Hope everyone is doing well. Sam, hope your hip gets better soon! Peace!!!!

Hey Everyone! Trinity came in first in the constellation matches and Zion(my old school) came in second in the chapionship! My cousin Jenny came with Alli today,(she goes to the Jr. High now), and Alli's dad brought spray on hair dye. Now I have red and white all over my hair! (Red and white is Zion's school colors) Luckily it washes out otherwise I'd have to go to church and sing tomarrow with this hair-dye in! Imagine everyone's surprise... Everyone stay healthy!!!! This nasty cold in everywhere! Siobhan

Hey Kim, That book is the best!!! I should re-read it again. Maybe show it off to Gary. He'd like it. Well, anyways, I hope you feel better. My dad has fallen with the worst cold ever. He's been sick for days! And it was below freezing yesterday during the night. So depressing. If you think 27 F is bad, try whatever -4 C is...I have no idea. lol! Sam, it's nice to hear you are doing a bit better. Although, I wish your hip gets better soon!

I hate cold weather. I'm wearing fleece pjs and socks and dressing gown, I have a blabket on, and the heaters. ops: Anyway, how is everyone? What are you all up to today? My guitar was meant to have been delivered but hasn't even arrived in the country.

Hello everyone. Libra Thanks for liking The Rocking City....that makes me feel really good. When I have my op on Nov 8th I'll be really buzzing. Siobhan I'd love to see your choirmaster's (or mistresses) face when you turn in with that hairdo. Starr Pity about The Cubbies but now it's next year. They need a new goat !! And thanks for the book plug. Glass_Onion I'm unable to divulge much of the writing until the Film starts rolling next Spring but as soon as possible everyone on this thread will be amongst the first to read it. Kathy I should be back walking properly around mid Dec...just in time for Christmas and New Year. For those of you who are suffering with nasty colds the very best treatment has always been Warm water, spoonful of honey, lemon, half a spoonful of sugar, and a tot of brandy. Take that morning and another at night. Cold gone !! Love and massive hugs to you all. Sam xxxx
-
Hi Sam yea ah well maybe next year for the Cubs i'll watch the last game if its on WGN or something. Another good thing for colds is plenty of SLEEP! too!
-
Sam - that last post was so good, I read it five times *heh heh!*
-
Hey Sam, So would I. It all washed out though. Mr. Dahlke well, I think he'd be surpirsed to see my hair like that! I know my homeroom teacher Mr. Preibe wouldn't be too happy about it. So I'm happy it all came out easily. Siobhan How is everyone else today?
-
We are up to page 500 in this thread. All of you people with colds, get well soon and don't spread it over the internet
-
Hello Sam. I've got a question for you... When did the Beatles became professional musicians? I mean... when did they leave their jobs to be only musicians?
-
Hi JeffLynnesBeard I'm here to please, heh, heh. Oliver In those days the local groups were part-time musicians and on the dole as well. We called them Rock'n'Dole groups. When Allan Williams got the Beatles the booking for Hamburg in Summer 1960 they became full time professionals. I'll be back tomorrow PM. Cheers Sam.
-
Cool, thanks, Sam....and call me Lauren. Take care.
