I'm hearing good things. This will be his best album since 'Ringo'.

The four songs I've heard so far have been enjoyable. That's coming from someone whom enjoyed his last couple of albums. This is my most anticipated album since Ringo Rama. I ordered via Amazon for the cd but I'll have access to the audiorip as of midnight.

              Paul McCartney:
              5.1.2002 /10.14.2005/ 10.15.2005/ 7.24.2011 /10.21.2015 /10.1.2017/ 10.2.2017

              Ringo:
              3.1.1999/ 6.11.2000 / 8.7.2003 /6.16.2006 /7.11.2008
              7.23.2010 / 7.8.2012 / 6.27.2014 / 6.23.2016

It's as awful as expected, but at least you can hear McCartney put effort in the bass work he did.

Typical Ringo album fun and enjoyable. Obviously nobody will mistake it for "Pet Sounds" but I'm glad he is still putting out records. He must still really enjoy his job I wonder what 1-2 songs he may add to the set for his upcoming run of shows?

I heard some bits of this today on Ringo's NPR interview and rather liked them. Can anyone who's actually got the album post more detailed impressions? Thanks.

I just wonder why Ringo chose to record a third studio version of "Back off Boogaloo". Likewise, the re-makes of "Don't pass me by" and "Photograph" are also superfluous, IMO. The rest of the album is rather enjoyable, though.

The New World Tour 1993: Frankfurt | Vienna

Back in the world 2003: Vienna

                        Good evening Europe 2009: Berlin

Up and coming 2010: Glasgow | Hyde Park

                        Out there: 2013 Vienna | 2015 Liverpool

                        One on one: 2016 Dusseldorf

                        Freshen up: 2018 Vienna

Mainly because Ringo found his original demo upon cleaning out/downsizing his storage units. It more enjoyable than his last remake of the song. Better on here than waiting for a rarities set that probably won't come out anytime in Ringo's lifetime.

Really good album . Better than Postcards from paradise imo. Stand out song is "Show Me The Way" (which has Paul on excellent bass). Such a great song - good Ringo vocal too. Actually gives a typical Paul ballad a run for it s money ! I'm curious about the bonus tracks . Were they part of another unfinished project ? because the personnel is different . Ringo doesn't play drums on them like the "standard" tracks on the album. The bonus tracks along with 2 on the album have very "countrified " instrumentation on them. Did he start something else off and not finish it ? For me Ringo's output since "Time Takes Time " has been consistently good , and this is up there with them . If anything , I think postcards from paradise is slightly disappointing - it's just a bit unmemorable for me - may revisit it . Liverpool 8 , Y Not , Ringo 2012 and now Give More Love are excellent imo. I think he's actually improved since he fell out with Mark Hudson !

It will be "awful" if you don't like Ringo - which you clearly don't . Subjectivley , I don't think theres anything "awful " about it at all !
