Once again, they were referenced: Last night on Arrow, (I accidently deleted it off my queue before I could get the exact quote) the bad guy says something about "stripping" something from a Beatles song (digitally) Then Arrow asks Felicity "How long to we have?" (before the bad guy detonates a bomb) and she says "Less time than from I Want To Hold Your Hand to Hey Jude!"

And another one last night on "You, Me and the Apocalypse" (funny show that partly takes place in Slough, England!) There is this super hacker guy and he thinks he is meeting this other super hacker (but it is really the hacker's mom who went to jail for him for hacking into some government site) The guy says, "Can you feel it? The spark? This must have been what it was like when Lennon met McCartney!"

Thurs. 3/3/16 on DC Legends Of Tomorrow: One character (male) is outside the spaceship fixing a hull breach and running out of oxygen, so another character (female) is inside trying to keep him awake by asking him questions. "What's your favorite color?" "Don't have one." "Who doesn't have a favorite color?" "It's kind of like having a favorite Beatle." "No, everyone has a favorite Beatle!" "Not me. Wouldn't be fair to the other three." LOL! The guy is played by Brandon Routh who played Superman in the movies.

This time a John Lennon reference on an old episode of NCIS: Los Angeles: Deeks is talking about some guys called "Ghurkas" and he says: "As much as I'd like to wrap up today with two Ghurkas singing Give Peace A Chance, over a pitcher of beer, brother I don't think that's gonna happen."

A reference from an House MD episode I was watching a few days back; Kutner: Beta blockers don't work. His heart can't handle an ICD. House: Pete Best. [The others look at him, waiting.] Good God! Has none of you ever read a history book? The original Beatles drummer. A bunch of nerves controls the tempo of the heart. They're all playing in time, except one dude can't keep the beat. Wrecks the whole thing. So we hire Ringo. Kutner: Pete Best was actually a great drummer, but I assume you mean the patient needs a cardiac sympathectomy? House: Probably should have just said that, huh?

Here we go again! On the show Vinyl last night the main character (Richie) who is the head of a record label, rehires this woman to help revitalize the company. He walks into the office and sees her back the first day and starts singing to her "Well my heart went boom, when I crossed that room and I held her hand in mi eeeene!" (he's a fairly lousy singer) She says, "Somewhere Paul McCartney is cringing!" The show takes place in the '70's and they had "David Bowie" on last night and the show was dedicated to his memory. Real good impersonator!

Another one on Vinyl last night: This chick asks the two record label guys "You ever met a Beatle?" Ray Romano's character says "Does Ringo count?" She says "No" and they all laugh like crazy. The episode was also about them trying to woo Elvis from RCA to their label. Another great impersonator played Elvis (in concert and acting) Of course Col. Parker put the kibosh on that!

Vinyl continues the Beatles references! The show starts out last night with the beginning of "Here Comes The Sun" being played. The Ray Romano character wants to give a record contract to a guy who sang at his daughter's bat mitzvah. This other guy says "He's in a wedding band!" And Ray (Zak) replies "The Beatles played at a titty bar!" Later in the show a female character is at a club and sees a photographer trying to get a pic of John Lennon and May Pang. John tells him to F-off. She borrows the camera, goes up to John and pretends like she doesn't know who he is, hands him the camera and says "Would you mind? It's just the button there." He cracks up and takes photos of her & this other chick. Then she gets a bunch of him. Of course she ends up sleeping with the photographer and making money off the pics for her rent. (She hold up one pic of John and says "This will pay my rent.")

On the kids show "Henry Danger", there were 4 dogs that ran into the room and their names were John, Paul, George, and Spot.

Last night on Limitless (Based on the movie of the same name where a guy takes a drug called NZT that makes him super smart for 24 hours each time he takes it. Bradley Cooper was in the movie and is also occasionally in the TV show) The female lead asks the guy who takes the drug "Do you see people when you're on NZT--is there anyone here with you now?" (they actually do and she knows this because she took NZT too and saw her Dad who is dead, but she didn't tell him that) He says "Oh yeah, Vladamir Lenin's waiting for us in the back seat. I'm kidding, it's Ringo Starr." Then in a (really good) Scouse accent he says "He reminds me to march to the beat of my own drum."

Another "Henry Danger" reference on Nick. Henry is stuck in a dream and the superhero says "you know it's just a dream. nothing is real. There's nothing to get hung about"

Vinyl last night: An A&R guy is talking about how maybe he's too old and doesn't know what he's supposed to be looking for any more. (he means discovering new artists/bands) Richie says "Next time you go out, I go with you. We'll find the next Beatles." On John Oliver's show last night: He was talking about your credit score. He said "It's the basis for the single most important 3-digit # in your whole life, other than of course 311, (he shows a photo of the band) The Beatles of Rap Rock."

Weds. on Supernatural: God is talking to Metatron, a former angel. God is writing his autobiography and tells him "Something's missing, I'm stuck." Metatron says "You want to get the old band back together--Lennon & McCartney ride again!" God: "Well, I'm kind of Lennon and McCartney, so...but every writer needs a good editor. I did some of my best work with you Metatron." This show is so crazy--God has been disguising himself for years as a writer named Chuck Shurley (who also writes the "Supernatural" books!)

God is writing his autobiography-no need for a proofreader, I guess.

Saw a D ick Cavett show from May 1972 today. John and Yoko and Shirley Maclaine were the guests. Shirley was campaigning for George McGovern for president, and was wearing McGovern pins. When John came out, he looked at the pins and the first thing he said was, "McCartney? Oh, I thought it said McCartney." Don't tell me Paul wasn't always on John's mind...in one way or another! (Ha ha! Just noticed the editing that was done on this post! I never realized...too bad he's not known as Richard, I guess!)
