I sometimes wonder if McCartney should have the sound checks be a separate show, like an alternate performance you could go to, but skip the main concert!!

I am sure disappointed at the "officials" in Tokyo. NO good photos of these 3 wonderful shows; people trying to take videos with cell phones only and getting practically nothing; so very sad!!!! Do we even know if he wore red again for the last show? Anyone who went, PLEASE post a few pix for us!!!!
-
I guess all cameras (except cell phones) were forbidden at the Tokyo concerts and the security guys made sure everyone respected that rule.

Looks like Paul used the "Jubilee" bass in Japan...(Helter Skelter?) http://pmccartney.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/BZm8iXECYAA8JBI.jpg

Twas a surprise when John handed Paul the "Jubilee bass", never seen it wheeled out since that time. I just want to say how great it was for me meeting up in Tokyo with friends known and unknown. Lots of Aussies there. That's what's great about things like the soundchecks: you meet like-minded people, swap email addys. Here's two examples of spooky weirdness from Tokyo... A friend I haven't seen since the Ringo shows here in Melbourne in February saw me walking out of the 60,000 seat Dome on the first night and called out to me. We said, "wow what are the odds of this happening?" At the second show, I took my seats and found we were seated DIRECTLY BESIDE them!!! In spite of the fact we had both procurred tickets from different sources! What are the odds of THAT happening??? At the third show, I turned around and seated DIRECTLY BEHIND US were two Japanese girls whom we had met at the Manchester soundcheck in December 2011!!!!!!!!

All the time at the last soundcheck , especially during Miss Ann at the piano, I was thinking, boy, would I love a pro shot copy of this!!!!

"Miss Ann" is an old Little Richard song that the Beatles did during the Let It Be sessions.
We took our Aussie flags in to the soundchecks, and held them up high! Waved them! No comment at the first soundcheck - left feeling deflated. At the third soundcheck eventually Paul said, "Is that an Australian flag I see?" And a bit later, after another song, "G'day sport!" So after all our noise making "Come to Australia!" "There are heaps of Aussies here!" ...it was worth it - just to hear him acknowledge us.

Although we enjoyed the soundchecks and they are quality, we did not enjoy having to be there at 1.30, then stand in a corridor for what seemed like hours. No seating - nothing. Poor form for the bucks we have to outlay. This was the pattern at each soundcheck. At Manchester, you had plonk and a veggie meal provided (not that it was good) between soundcheck and concert, but prior to the soundcheck we were in a room where we could drink, eat food, etc, sit down and chat comfortably with the other soundcheckers. But on a happy note, I don't mind paying big bucks to hear On My Way To Work and Alligator, (which sounded TREMENDOUS, especially OMWTW!!!) plus all the others.
