Apparently with a possible stroke. Hope it's some kind of false alarm or at least that she gets well soon. http://pagesix.com/2016/02/26/yoko-ono-rushed-to-hospital-for-possible-stroke/ Update: http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/02/26/yoko-ono-hospitalized/ If she was found unconscious, that's really not good.

Damn. Just checked for updates and no further news. Sending good thoughts.

Further update: http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/yoko-ono-hospitalized-york/story?id=37237215&nwltr=abcn_tco Elliot Mintz says it is just a serious flu. Either he's wrong or the police source who said she was unconscious is wrong. Hope it's just the flu, but I don't remember the last time someone was rushed to the hospital with the flu. We'll know soon though.

http://abc7.com/entertainment/yoko-ono-rushed-to-nyc-hospital-unconscious/1221241/ The hospital is the same institution that Lennon was pronounced dead at after being assassinated in 1980.

Sean Lennon said in a tweet that Yoko was suffering dehydration/exhaustion.

I'd rather hear from the senior doctor attending, than some Mintz and Sean spin.

                    Exactly, especially at her age.

                    Maybe I'm amazed !!

I heard she is most likely due to leave the hospital today, so if it was something really serious then I don't think she would be able to leave. If she has a really bad flu/virus like Paul had a few years ago, she may be bedridden for a while. I don't really trust Elliot (her PR guy), but I read Sean's tweet and I'd like to think she will be OK.

I hope and pray Yoko will get better and go home. I was listening to her new album, "Yes, I'm A Witch, Too" last night when she was being taken to the hospital. I deeply admire Yoko and wanted to meet her oneday. Sending healing vibes to Mother.❤️🌟 When I first listened to "Walking On Thin Ice," From "Yes, I'm A Witch Too." It made me cry it is so emotive and just beautiful.

                              ✌️❤️

Glad this was a false alarm. Sadly, that whole generation in music is at the age where mortality rears its ugly head, so it's easy to worry at the slightest rumor.

Stroke/flu/dehydration. They're not all the same thing. Wouldn't it be better if news agencies reported accurate information instead of rush to be first in reporting speculation?

Okay, I do media relations for a living, so I will attempt to address this. Yes, of course it would be better to confirm the facts rather than publish unverified rumors, which is what apparently happened here. But the news media are in crisis, almost universally. Advertising revenue is down and everyone is frantically chasing clicks, viewers, readers, etc., in order to generate what revenue they can. The temptation to rush out with what seems like a hot story ahead of the competition is almost unbearable. And this largely false story about Yoko is one of many, many examples of the inevitable result of such a rush. It bites. Totally.

But don't they realize that the more they lie to us, the less we'll listen? Maybe people were naïve in the past for believing everything they read, but there used to be things like journalistic integrity and double confirmation. Yahoo news articles are pretty terrible, and they go nuts for all that click bait nonsense. They don't care about the article at all, as long as you click on it. That's why I never look at Yahoo articles. I'm sure I'm not the only one. They've probably lost more readers than they realize. The days of only having your local newspaper and TV news are long gone. We all have a million other options. When there's more competition, you swing for the bleachers. You don't pack up and go home.
