I just bought two tickets for the concert, but will arrive at the international airport at 15.20. It was unclear to me at which time the concert would start, and I assumed 20.00h. Now the ticket has 5.00 p.m., which is a strange moment for a concert. Does anybody know whether 5.00 p.m. is the real starting-time, or is it the time at which you can collect your ticket, or the opening of the venue? Since I'm from Holland, I don't know what the usual starting-time for such an event in Korea is.

Don't worry. It is being advertised to start at 8pm here. Don't know where 5pm thing came from. Come to think of it, that must be the time will call booth would open.

Got two tickets for 5th row, center block. Amazing score. It's going to be an epic night. Bring it on!

FYI...So you are arriving at Incheon? How are you planning on getting into Seoul? Be aware that getting through customs/immigration collecting bags (if any) and getting to the Express train into Seoul Station at the airport will take about an hour. Assuming you catch the express train right away that is another 45 minutes to Seoul Station. You can catch the subway there to Jamsil, plan 15 minutes to connect at Seoul Station, to Jamsil which may take another 20-30 minutes. Altogether a conservative estimate is 2.5-3 hours from landing at the airport to the stadium. This is probably the quickest way into Seoul. If you are planning on checking into your hotel first add another hour most likely depending were you are staying. A taxi from the airport is outrageously expensive and at that time the traffic conditions may be horrendous. Definitely would take longer than the express train I think. Sorry, not trying to worry you but just wanted you to be aware that your timing for the start of the show is going to be very tight. If any locals have any opinions or suggestions please feel free to add to the discussion.

It'd be a bit tight, but definitely not in the realm of impossible unless there is a serious delay in flight. I'd also suggest to pack light and check in your hotel AFTER the show though. I'd imagine you'd rather take a breath, grab a quick food before the show than rushing out. Plenty of express buses are available from Incheon to near venue site. But I can't be sure of traffic. It can be bad enough during Saturday afternoon already, and Paul's show will not help. I'd suggest you to take the Airport Railroad train, which is an express line to Seoul city, to Hongik Univ. station, where you can transfer to Green line Seoul metro. Then get off at Sports Complex station where you can reach the venue in 5 minutes. This involves the least amount of transferring. The whole journey would take anywhere between about 100 mins to 2 hours. Door open is 17:00 and show time is 20:00. This has been confirmed by the promoter.

Thank you very much for your help and advice. My hotel is nearby the stadium, so I'll try to drop my luggage there before the concert; hopefully the plane arrives in time, and the traffic is not too dense...

Here is a link to the Airport rail link (called AREX). http://english.arex.or.kr/jsp/eng/information/linemap.jsp Note that there is an express train with no stops direct to Seoul Station or a "local" train that stops at stations into Seoul, including Hongik U as referenced above. I think taking either train and connecting to the subway at either Hongik or Seoul Station would take about the same amount of time. Connecting at Hongik would require only one transfer whereas connecting at Seoul Station would require two transfers. Also, Seoul Station is a zoo and from personal experience best avoided if at all possible.

Yeah either way will work but the advantage of going to Seoul Station directly will be easily negated by having to transfer two times. Good move that you booked a hotel nearby the venue. Don't hesitate to contact me if you need more info. Will be glad to help.

Great move! I've been to Japan multiple times for different concerts. Oddly enough, never had a chance when Paul played there.
