What ever I came from the south Yet you went North You thought I chased you down Yet I slowed down You flew by jet I took the bus. I dressed for bed You got up and jogged I woke after a good nights sleep You got on stage and sang I Stretched my legs Hope your enjoyed your next coffee I went to get groceries You had your chef make your dinner I got my dinner out to thaw Cut the cuisine I chose You went on the road I stayed home too pooped to pop While your in the North I am in the South While your in the East I am in the west I suppose you know whats best Or at least you suppose you do. Hope you have maps to get the directions straight I think out loud while you think to your self I sleep with eyes shut while you are out playing around Kind of wonder who has that much energy to do all that I make breakfast While your get ready for bed Isnt amazing how diverse aworld we live in Too bad we keep missing each other Have a good time in the morning In the evening In the night by doris mendlovitz

Nice, thanks for sharing the poetry Doris. You write some of the most cleverly versed, verses this ones great, conveying the difference between the lives of two people (Paul and You?) WhateverWhatever Why'd you title it that? Cheers.

Yeah, I see now you were thinking of Paul. I was thinking of another person...but that is what is great about poetry, is that if it is a good poem we can all see different things in it. Like a good song, so many interpretations.

.. just came up with it

Whatever is perfect actually. It gives the piece a certain disappointed view, but maybe not really you know? Can be read different ways, if you know nothing of Paul. Reading it which i did, as if your thinking about you and Paul, just makes it sort of more wonderment. The wonderment element is key.. You have both those things going on. Is your middle name Poe btw? Or 'Edgar Allen'

I like the title "Whatever." I use that word alot. When I say it it is usually when I have no more answers to a problem, person, situation, and so I say, "whatever..." It kind of means, let it be, to me, as in let the thing go and it will either resolve itself or not...
