On February 8, 2014, we had our wedding totally inspired by the art of The Beatles. It happened at Campo Largo, a city in the metropolitan area of Curitiba, South of Brazil. Starting with the purpose of putting guests in a Beatles atmosphere, some road signs was put guiding the way to the venue, with yellow submarine drawings and the glove of the cartoon, pointing the direction. In the entrance hall, a giant poster of 2 m wide with the bride and groom in the Abbey Road crossing (Figure 1). As cake topper, bride, groom and a yellow submarine. Figure 1 - Abbey Road Crossing - a 2 m wide poster All waiters wore an identification badge of the "Sgt Pepper's Club Band", each with a typical nickname: John, Paul, Ringo, George, and also Maxwell, Dr. Robert, Rita, Eleanor, Lucy, Jo Jo, Michelle, Sgt Pepper and Mr. Kite. After dinner a live presentation of the 'Metralhas Beatles Again' band, for about an hour and a half. Finally, a DJ came until the end of the night, with all non-Beatles repertoire because after all, everyone needs a break... About song selection: Songs used were basically versions of other artists, but carefully hand-picked based on a 8 months study. About 2500 versions of Beatles songs were evaluated, only about 200 selected, and then divided into Main Songs, Prelude, Ceremony, Reception, Dinner and Party Music. Additionally, Main and Prelude Songs were appropriately edited with a software. All selection is found at the link below, and through the links provided in this video description.

Ceremony was according to a traditional Christian wedding in Brazil where, for example, bridesmaid and groomsmen enters first in pairs, then the parents (mother of bride with father of groom), then groom with his mother, page-boy with ring bearer girl, and finally, the bride with her father. Sometimes the cake cut is before dinner, usually a fake cake just for taking pictures and to celebrate the toast, which in this case was made with all guests singing parts of 'All Together Now' (figure 2). Figure 2 - Toast, as guest sings 'All Together Now' All in all we realized that the result was memorable even for those who are not fully included in the Beatles world. So one could imagine how it was like for a fan... Best regards, Gizele and J.Nelson Hoffmann jonho.2112@gmail.com
