Perhaps it was meant as a compliment. These days it's sometimes hard to tell.

Perhaps. My response to him/her was that "...from the goat's perspective, that is a good thing."

I produced a session yesterday. My friends, Tommy and Cara, had me lead a session; Tommy wanted to do his own version of an old X song, "Nausea." I'm pleased with the results. Kinda' industrial/punk/dancy thing. -Cara: vocal -Tommy: guitar/vocal -Audi: bass/drums/"bubbling" guitar NAUSEA (MIX 2): http://www.mediafire.com/?4oqsk3fbuof4t43

To date, "Be What You See" is the "hit" of my youtube channel -- with a whopping 165 views. Here's a link to download an .mp3 of it for a better-quality file. Not sure why all of my uploads at youtube are so lo-fi. Also, in the true spirit of Electric Arguments, I've added a couple of alternate mixes/tracks: Be What You See (The Fireman Version): http://www.mediafire.com/?r5dz5n5c406ji47 Be What You See (Naked Mix -- no vocals, no bass): http://www.mediafire.com/?gra3abcy1s954c4 Be What You See (Vocal track only): http://www.mediafire.com/?p98164a380qgju4

Well, this is cool, friends... ...I sat in with some guys -- and a very cool chick -- playing an impromptu show at a Nashville restaurant/venue last week. They asked me to play bass and sing. I wish I had recorded all of it, but here's a portion of our set: THE EASTLAND CAFE BELATED X-MAS PARTY BOOTLEG CD: http://www.mediafire.com/?6251zbh9bqbto4a And we had zero rehearsal, so everything's "in the moment." Plus, this recording does not do the night justice. We sounded great, and the crowd was great. The first song is an original, written by one of the guitarists. I didn't know his song, but I kept up OK on bass. After that they asked me to do a couple of Beatles tunes...and so on. The music starts at 01:54 -- prior to that is chatter while we were tuning up, etc. I start singing at 06:20 ("I Saw Her Standing There") -- I was so nervous, resulting in less than perfect vocals. Nonetheles, having to play bass and sing lead at the same... ...it was very hard to resist pretending I was Paul McCartney. This has a very Cavern Club vibe about it. : ) -Audi: bass/vocals -Kevin (my buddy): drums -Judd: guitar -2nd guitarist (?) -Dana: vocals
-
Did you sing that yourself?

Not the first song. I did vocals beyond that. Dana sang harmony with me (despite my numerous sharp notes).

One of this forum's top members is DarthMcCartney -- last year, he added some tracks to some McCartney tracks I'd done. Turned out great: Josh Gill and Audese - 'Get It':
Josh Gill and Audese - 'Rough Ride': Josh Gill and Audese - 'Every Night': Josh Gill and Audese - 'You've Got More Sass Than Class': My fave Josh Gill track - very Beatle-y! Has an "All Together Now" vibe about it. Holly Holly: -
I bought a bass this week. Recorded this little funk thing very quickly. A funk-stew of my Bootsy/Larry Graham/McCartney influences: audesemusic - UNTITLED BASS JAM!:
