If you're here to see more of Utah than just the Paul show, consider Park City. About a 30 minute drive to the venue and a fabulous tourist town. Sandy is 20 miles south and has a few hotels if you can't find something by the airport. Message me if you have any questions about specifics I'm so excited!

yea downtown maybe booked full for the 7th,, they must of known PAUL was coming to play. look farther south in the city or even west out by the airport, go to Google, you can stay off the freeway and use highway 89 or main street or north temple to drive to ESA, ninety percent of the streets run north & south or east & west, very easy to drive downtown compared to others. the front entrance is on south temple, 300 west is on the east side, parking close by will cost lower than most cities. YOU WILL ENJOY IT :
Thank you Scotty. I think we will try the airport hotels. I had hoped to stay within walking distance of the arena but oh well. Still amazing that things are booked up this far in advance.
I booked a room in Murray(about 7 miles from the venue) last night for $63 a night including breakfast--I read the reviews and it sounded fine nothing special but clean and safe--unless you are looking for a 5 star experience. I figured I'd put my money where it counts--on the $1500 Paul Hot Sound tickets!!

Found a room at the Airport Inn, three miles from downtown. A little over $100 per night. Thanks for all the help. Can't wait to see what Paul's set-list is tonight in Uruguay. Look forward to August 7th and my fifth Paul show.

Comin' from Californie for my Paul Hot Sound 3rd row seat!! Yeehaw!!
-
Any advice? What to bring, how long does the concert usually go, etc? I'm WAY excited!!!!! My dad got the tickets for me back in April, so I've been trying to wait patiently. OH, and also....I know this isn't very likely, so you don't have to tell me that, but if there's any chance at all of me getting to meet him - like maybe before or after the show somewhere - where do you think that would be? Who should I talk to?

Hi and welcome to the message forum! Congratulations on your first Paul concert...you're in for a real treat!! The show runs around 2 1/2 hours or so. As far as meeting Paul...there's always a chance
-
get plenty of sleep the night before the concert,, because you will not want to go to sleep after seeing PAUL MCCARTNEY and you do not want or need to go for refreshments or rest room break,, keep your eyes focused on the stage and your ears open during those two plus hours and just relax and enjoy the rock show
-
and yes it looks like I may get to be there for this ROCK SHOW my concert bro says he may have a extra ticket : ops:

You at least can gather with other fans to greet him when he arrives at the venue, usually at around 4PM.

But don't get her hopes up...when he arrives he just drives by the waiting fans and will lean out the window and wave. He doesn't get out of the car to chat!

LOL! Really. If anyone finds out "who you talk to"...let everyone else know! The people in soundcheck don't even chat with Sir Paul. But yes...you never do actually know.
