I LOVE POEMS

Dear quail, dear SurSteven, thank you for your nice words about our musical project! And such 'coincidences' happen almost every day (if we're attentive enough) - maybe it has something to do with our collective subconscious level too.

Wow I love this one! My very first poem had the dots... I'm going to sit down and write one, it's been a while! You are inspiring me! Thanks for posting this! I'm really enjoying reading all of the poems! I want to try and do the free flow like quai, I've never tried that and Lana Thanks for sharing about Water Low, I enjoyed that!
-
L2T. Glad you liked it. I added the dots last night so it would post in the snake form. It came out ok, but not as good as the original. I like it, too, but then I enjoy doing shape poetry. This poem was published in regular form, but I was looking at it one day and decided to try to make the words into a viper. I used to paint, draw all the way through high school and some in college, but then stopped. Poetry is my art now. What do you mean your first poem had the dots? Sounds like fun.
-
I'll see if I can find it... I've had this Coldplay song in my head all day, and the idea for a poem too! I like the shape of it!

You're welcome... I agree completely. There seems to be a highly refined progressive fluency to life which is more easily observable with a trained eye and/or ear.

Dear Lana and now SurSteven aswell you put my faith into people around and around we go for this short time yet blessed are those who find peace not from the baubles or covered with satin but for those who take on the beat the drumming the cymbals the sound of a sad cry the desperate the wicked the poor come you my children come hear the sound of what has gone before injustice reins for only now cause soon we will reach for the shore xxxxx quail. this is a free fall poem.

^ Beautiful Quail! You made me think of The Moody Blues lyric line, "Out on the ocean of life my love, there's so many things we must rise above"

I really love this one...I just bought 6 yellow kitchen towels last week!
-
Thank you, L2T. It's supposed to be in the shape of a greater than sign, though not as clear here I hope your yellow kitchen towels live long and prosper

I'm slowly fading drop by drop that gets guzzled up upon the clock the clocks not mine it's out of time but the rain keeps the pulse, of my mind sunshine faces looking all confused what is lost what's there to loose? I love these grey lost days; another breath another pause what is left? but you of course fading now yet eternity make these moments last for me and for all cause that's what we all wish another free fall poem heartfelt xxx
-
I'm glad you like these gray days, Quail. Good on you. I hate when the days get shorter. Have to exercise more.

Another lovely poem by you Quail. Very lovely to read!

Here is one of mine in Branches Magazine Sept/Oct.: Alleviate the Breach Is your object getting people to take your side, or are you taking action to heal others inside the hurt? I want to spend my time bringing to the fore causes I support, not giving voice to chasms, factions, and senseless wars!

Just saw this while looking at some paintings of Victorian artists... ?There are fairies at the bottom of our garden! They often have a dance on summer nights; The butterflies and bees make a lovely little breeze, And the rabbits stand about and hold the lights. Did you know that they could sit upon the moonbeams And pick a little star to make a fan, And dance away up there in the middle of the air? Well, they can.? ? ?Fairies.? Rose Fyleman, 1917. Not sure what it was written for, but this painting came to mind...
