Here is one of mine in Branches Magazine Sept/Oct.: Alleviate the Breach Is your object getting people to take your side, or are you taking action to heal others inside the hurt? I want to spend my time bringing to the fore causes I support, not giving voice to chasms, factions, and senseless wars!
This is quite amazing Fan 4! Something to hold in thought always...
Thank you, Luv2 I remind myself of this quite frequently, esp. when irritated with someone or something.

Just saw this while looking at some paintings of Victorian artists... ?There are fairies at the bottom of our garden! They often have a dance on summer nights; The butterflies and bees make a lovely little breeze, And the rabbits stand about and hold the lights. Did you know that they could sit upon the moonbeams And pick a little star to make a fan, And dance away up there in the middle of the air? Well, they can.? ? ?Fairies.? Rose Fyleman, 1917. Not sure what it was written for, but this painting came to mind...
Perfect combo.

This was inspired recently and though it does not rhyme I wrote It in a minute. It conveys my feelings: Goodbye my love Upon the unfinished canvas Of our lives The tide rolls in Yet I can't paint the boat Shipwrecked on our imaginary island The boat you showed me how to draw I cannot pick up the brush To finish it without you The canvas is unfinished Seagrass of green feathers On a white beach A deep blue sky with a face Stares back at me. Goodbye my love. This is the unfinished painting I was writing about:
-
Beautiful idea of the unfinished canvas, dear Kittay!

If not for you, I wouldn?t know What true love really meant. I?d never feel this inner peace; I couldn?t be content. If not for you, I?d never have The pleasures of romance. I?d miss the bliss, the craziness, Of love?s sweet, silly dance. I have to feel your tender touch; I have to hear your voice; No other one could take your place; You?re it; I have no choice. If not for you, I?d be adrift; I don?t know what I?d do; I?d be searching for my other half, Incomplete, if not for you. here is my submit. if you like it and want more love quotes for her please visit this website : http://lovesayingsandquotes.com/

This is the LAST poem I thought they would have chosen out of the five submitted. It is actually centered in the book, which is supposed to make it look like a menu. Here's another one. Yard-work Recovery Published in Poetic Portions, December 2015 A river of warm sweat rolls down my forehead over my nose. I palm-touch moist matted hair in a blocking maneuver. As I straighten up, though not quick, from ousting yet another redbud-sprout turned mini-tree, my back warns "Do not do that again!" Last year, it's now clear, my hired student dug down four inches, clipped off, covered up, thought: She'll never know. My back is telling me I do know. Apparently, the rookie got sloppy didn't follow the play didn't dig the foot required to dislodge carrot-like roots giving up even more ground over the space of another year. As predicted, the redbuds intercepted, took possession, became formidable opponents. I'll think twice before hiring another high school quarterback.

Oh I love that! How true, the work ethics today!! My sister had a similar issue with the hundreds of tulip bulbs, that she hired some young person to plant for her. She must have just kept a bunch, and threw them out somewhere Or the mother who was telling me, her child only will wear designer clothes and says he needs an expensive sports car. She got a second job to keep her freeloading 30 year old, everything he wants She can't wait Til he moves out (why would he??!!)
-
Oh, so sorry to hear that story about the dishonest young person and her tulips. And I grew up knowing a mother just like that. Worshipped her sons and made sure they both had cars before they even had a license. Her daughter was neglected and had to buy her own school clothes and was never given a car in high school even though she was the oldest. I agree with you. Why would the son leave?

This reminds me of the poet in the Coppola movie Peggy Sue Got Married.

Genesis' Aisle of Plenty is basically a grocery list. Art can be anything.

Thank you (I think, can't remember that part)

Thanks Love2Travel! Have had four or five published since then and some coming up in October, but it's always nice. Here's one I'd forgotten about that was in a book of poems that I bought recently. One of my favs: Here's to the crazy ones . . . by Rob Siltanen & Ken Segall Here's to the crazy ones... The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They are not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can't do is ignore them. Because they change things. They push the human race forward. And though some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world are the ones who do it. Apple Computer "Think Different" ad campaign, 1997
