I LOVE POEMS

Hi CG So what is going to be your main argument in pressing charges against the tree? I hope your friend's surgery goes well. Is she still in the hospital? I saw this very first line on a sign one time... I just liked it. Be the shore in my ship to shore My breath of fresh air, when I walk in the door Let your light shine a path Find my home at last Navigate from the stars at night Right on course, there is no fright For up ahead see the distant light After many days, a happy sight Shore at last, I see the glow Of twinkling lights that call to me So many days alone at sea A joyous welcome, a glad hello Closer now, we come to port upon the rampart sits the fort In my mind I sing and shout I hear the cannons ringing out There's no place like home The end of my roam The heart of my core lies inside that door
-
She was in the emergency room the day of and over night...then she and her mom drove home. She's been back at school and stuff. Her surgery may be postponed because of insurance issues, but I highly doubt it'll be put off. They're going to be taking out her stitches at the same time...so... -shrug- We'll find out tomorrow. Hmmmm...I love that poem. Very beautiful.

Hi CG! Hope your friend is doing well.... Thank you as always for your encouragement Keep us apprised of your case against the tree! I keep forgetting.... I LOVE the new banner...especially the one with Paul in the glasses that is such a cute pic, isn't it?!
-
Thanks...I love the new banner, too. It was great with the "Screw Edward Cullen..." script before, but I like this one too! Those were all the pictures I had on my...laptop, I think. Or maybe the desktop... ops: I have so many! My old one died...I don't know what happened to it. Anyways, we're taking the tree to the cleaners. ^^ He won't know what hit him. Literally. (Get it? She hit him...haha...) Her surgery went well. There's a few (a LOT) of gruesome details I wish I didn't know that I won't share with you...but all in all, her elbow's on the mend. And to think she can't wait until she goes skiing again! : That's how she is, though...

Hi CG Thanks for the update!! Haaa Liked your joke about the tree! I know what you mean about missing pictures from your old laptop.... I still haven't gotten mine restored.... lost my reboot disk in a move Hey, I would love to read your new poem.... do you have a link?
-
Yups...I posted it on the "Because" thread. I found some chords for it...so pretty!! Wish I had some way to record it, so you guys could hear.
-
Hi CG.... I love that poem! It is reminding me about some dream I had, or something about bridges... Did Paul have that in a song? I would love to hear your song! Did you say you have a Mac? I think you can do something like that with Garage Band...not sure... Or do you have a camera that you can also record on? Love your poems!!! I'm hitting a dry spell... 2:

I've got a Dell. I have Windows Movie Maker, which you can record narration (-cough- a song -cough-) or whichever... Either way, when it was being downloaded onto the laptop I have now (like, a REALLY long time ago) something went wack (same happened with Windows Media Player...) and you can't save movie files to post on places such as, say, YouTube. But if I can be sneaky enough, I can use my dad's laptop and have it posted before the day is up! Which I think I'm going to try...
-
YAY!!! Give your dad the puppy eyes... my dad used to always soften up for those
-
My dad just gets mad at me at this point for the puppy eyes. I abuse their power. So, I took a "video" on my phone of my playing guitar just 'cos it has sound. It has poor quality and I didn't point the camera at anything, so you've got some wonderful blackness to watch as it plays for the full 53 seconds. Link:
Really poor sound quality...but you can get the point. I'll try the stealing of my dad's laptop later... -

I know I've said this time and time again, but your writing reminds me so much of my own! I love meeting people with writing styles like my own...makes me feel special... ANYWAYS, I'm rather fond of this poem. Very...poetic.
Hi CG! How is your friend that whomped that tree while skiing? Hope she's doing much better!! Thank you for your compliment.... I do think we both have some very similar writing styles! Although you also seem to know the technical terms for it, which I find interesting also. There are several of yours that I wanted to post a matching poem I had written, but they are locked inside my broken laptop. I think I am learning from you, so thanks for that too! I really like some of your long ones especially!!! You get a whole theme going. Bonjour Miss Guitar! So you live near Paris!! J'aime Paris Do you go to the Louvre many times? Such a large beautiful museum. I wish I could spend one week just going to the Louvre every day! Also love the Muse'e d'Orsay! Have been to the normal tourist sites such as la Tour Eiffel, Notre Dame, Sacre' Coeur, Montmartre and the Le Bateau Mouche on the Seine. You are so lucky to live there! France is so beautiful... I wish I could spend 6 months there just exploring. I wish I could speak French better... Your English is wonderful!
sorry to post so late, but there was works in my home, such a mess i didn't have time to write anything i see you know paris, and i agree with u about le louvre. I love to walk in the streets of Paris, there's so many things to discover. i had the chance to discover it with my lover a long time ago, and i still love paris and my lover

One day violence came in this world, Bringing death, Horrible feelings, the sound of sword, In my head, People crying, suffering, dying, Without a word, Everyday a new weapon arriving, The worst goal for a human brain i've heard.
-
Mais oui, je comprends miss guitar Are you remodeling? If so, it does make such a mess doesn't it? I got such a vivid thought about the sword in your poem... Paris and the Eiffel Tower Dreams as a girl of a tall tower Standing under, the metal spire Grew up to find it had a name Le Tour Eiffel it's claim to fame That dream remembered through the years It's magic beacon called out to me Come to Paris, come and see The Eiffel Tower it held a key Finally, the day did come To Paris by train, under the sun And thru the haze for miles around It's metal steeple pointing profound Drawn like a magnet to gay Paris Art Deco doorways, small cafes The Louvre and Musee d'Orsay Finally I got to see the tower Rode to the top in a glass box Paris spread out like a pinwheel Such great energy, I feel free A wonderful day in gay Paris
-
hi love2travel ! i love your poem about paris, i really agree about the energy u can feel here. u're right about remodeling, but now it's over. PS: i thought i had post weeks ago but no trace of it
-
'ello miss guitar Thank you very much! Hope you have all of the dust cleared up from the remodel.... I do love remodeling so much, even with the mess. The energy of Paris.... yes, there's something in the air... how many songs and movies and wonderful things have been written about Paris... wish I could live in France for a while to pick up the beautiful language. I've dreamed of France since I was 5. You are lucky to live there

Across Time Down to the water, I was drawn again The giver of life, the endless horizon The sound of waves Echo across many lifetimes In and out, the waves count out the breath of this lifetime and those that have passed but have not been forgotten like ghostly phantoms The moon it shines across the water the shimmer of light cuts a path to where I sit at the waters edge. Blurring the line from one lifetime to to the last, the same moon sparkling across the water to end up at the foamy shore that lies at my feet Fizzy bubbles percolating into the sand I hear in the distance, the sound of music, it plays your song, I hum along The gentle sound of diners tinkling glass and porcelain plates a summer night, the voices murmur buzzing and humming and fading away to the sound of the waves again so softly they surge upon the sand leaving ripples that reflect the light And I remember the reflection of my face, In your eyes, across time, I've not forgotten Words we thought, that were not spoken Your kiss that did not stop, it was unbroken Your heart the same, the love awoken And I lift my head up to the stars And wonder where in the world You are tonight
-
One Love And when I raise my eyes And look up to the clouds up in the sky, I see that love is everywhere It's floating by, just like the music in the air and then I feel the warmth it radiates, it's from the sun and it is love, for everyone It makes me high just like the birds, up in the sky they're flying by and then, I realize that we are One One love, so glad to be alive under the sun my spirit floats it soars on by just like the wind And then I realize that we are One one love, yeah you and me and everyone One Love

The gift of a child, the most precious of all For it comes from a heart, so pure and so small Touched by the Angels and Fairies with wings Brighter than diamonds, Truest Love, how it sings
