Great version illwobs! is that Take 6? Magus rips it there at the end, and I think its one of your best vocals to date. Nice to hear your Pink Clothes finally fleshed out to your own specifications
Thanks very much, KPU. Yes, take 6 it is! I think it's ok, but speeds up a bit towards the end which I find a bit annoying! Perfectionists... The general feel owes a lot to your version (and your advice), although the lyrics and melody are virtually all my own I think. I doubt I'd have ever got it this good on my own anyway.
...me and you have Where Do We Start? done. I know audi had something sweet cooking for that, of which I threw him a verse at one point. I'd like to hear that one fleshed out...
Oh, yeah. I'll have to dig around for that. Kinda' got lost in the shuffle in the aftermath of our, let's call it, Let It Be moment.

I'd like to hear that one fleshed out. and Darth has a Where Do We Start? in the works I seriously like the concept of picking a topic and each of us writing a song about it. either sharing ideas or completely original. thats cool and fun as s**t
Yeah, we should all finish our Where Do We Starts and create a poll on here to decide which is best! Oh, except no one else but us four would vote... No, audi will NEVER get his done if he thinks we're going to drop that on him! But yes, picking topics and giving each other songs to write is good. You gave me the brief that led to "Jonathan", remember, and that worked out well, and I also did Panda Bear for a request, so I'm happy to consider any informal challenges or commissions like that! Ask me to write something! Or lets all pick something again!

How about we each come up with a song title and trade them, and then we have a week or 2 to come up with a song based on the title you have been given

THAT sounds awesome! I could get into that if you three could too! We could get Macsback to drum up some interest in his own inimitable way...could be a fun challenge...!

Was I John or Paul in the whole debacle? Probably John for my irrationality. ah, you only live once! Not at all to compare who's is better, but I'm always intrigued to hear the differences in takes between our songs on the same themes/title. the different directions and material that is cultivated all from one idea. thats cool. but we could also trade Titles, i'm down with that. Lets get one going, can we decide on it? I wrote a poem the other day, posted here, called Lemonade Suicide. Does that do anything for any one? I don't have any music too it yet so don't have much of a head start on ya, if we wanted to use that title. I'm great with whatever. I consider me a freelance songwriter, specializing in unpaid projects Someone feel free to name the topic. its probably better and more universal than what i just suggested. could do Tell The Story, audi/Darths new one. I already have a verse for it. 'Above the Black Lagoon' is a song title/theme I've always wanted to mess with, and have messed with before, but never finished any song. I thought the idea could be cool and lend itself to imagery. another hairbrained idea but if we opt to trade titles one of you are getting that! you guys call it.

So, song titles/ideas... "Lemonade Suicide?" "Black Lagoon?" How about this: "We shouldn't flirt like this in front of the children" Just thought I'd throw that out (quite glad to get rid of it in fact !!)

Maybe collaborating isn't a good idea anyway...

I've basically got my version of Lemonade Suicide done, just need to record it. You guys are going to start thinking I'm a musical simpleton with how simple these songs I'm writing lately are.. that is if you don't already! I'm excited to find out what this song turns into. I had the guitar part cooking on it last night. in my own personal opinion but I have to figure out how to do the words still.. btw you all should know, should any of you actually choose to compose a song called Lemonade Suicide, be carefull. even though I think my song may be poppy and somewhat up beat, to me the genesis of the idea to write the words Lemonade Suicide, come from such a dark place it ain't even funny. it could inspire countless songs. Anyway, should you decide to 'tame the beast'.. good luck to ya! it will probably end up better than my simple ass song! btw yes Josh, keep us waiting longer why dontcha. and I won't even mention audi's name.. ooops

("hssssssssssssssssssssssss") I'm going through a break-up. I'll get it together soon.

audi, really sorry to hear this, and I really hope you're ok. Take care!

Thanks, Jon.

Yo, thought you guys might get a kick out of this, I just recorded one attempt at the track for Lemonade Suicide, and I ended up feeling this older poem I had written, instead of the concept of LS, so I basically just read the old poem over the track, and flowed it and changed some bits and worked out a droning style melody. still working on this one but you know I'm always happy to share any old thing Run

Dark and trippy! At times, it's like listening to an Alice In Chains track and The White Album at the same time. Vocal needs to be louder, though. Are you going to re-do it? I'd like to play on this one, if I may.

you know whats funny man, I actually have a louder vocal mix of this! I was listening to them both just now and am realizing I posted the quieter one.., I'll post the louder one later. This track has potential, I want to re-do it, and of course would be honored to have your playing on any of my tracks! I'm imagining that could work out quite well on this jam Notice I do a little Lennon 'It's so Hard' type guitar riff at about 1:44. the songs actually in the same beat as Its So Hard, but wasn't intentional. subconscious inspiration I bet. anyway I want to basically showcase that riff more throughout the song, on top of the power chords I have. I think that will make it better. I've been looking at it and noticing there's really only a few words to change to spin the song really happy, and into like an all for one, unity type of a bit. I'm thinking of doing that for my next take. the song and poem were really personal, and it would be cool to me if I could literally spin this sucker POP! which is always a great idea anyway. if I can pull it off.. When I get a good one done I will let you know! I have a song called 'Run', Beyonce's is 'Run The World'. not a bad pair. Run. run what? The World beyatches! Bohemian Rhapsody smokes them both though. completely different level.

You think good enough to be something you'd put some overlays on? I just was looking at the lyrics and changing them at this point is not working like I expected.. I could always try to get a better version of it but I'd almost like to move on to something else. I'd be very interested to hear what you do to it. with this White Album meets Alice In Chains style track . you so 'get' my influences it seems. That assessment is quite spot on.

I'd like to see if I can add anything to "Run." I'm getting my "recording bug" back. I'm going to be doing a LOT of recording in the coming days. I've produced enough Sur Rod tracks. He's gonna have to fly on his own now.
