I'm starting to write a song about things you don't normally write songs about. I'd like any suggestions. So far I've only got 2 or 3 things, including: -Athletes Foot Any more suggestions? No obscene ones please!

What might be something no one has thought to write a song about - mmmm....What about 'tapping maple syrup from a tree'? I never heard a song about that...and it could almost match the same rhythm as that 'pulling mussels from a shell' song from Squeeze...LOL -

:I basically do that to start most of the songs i write actually. when I don't know what to write about I almost always write about writing or creating somehow. its like my flow crutch.
illwobble, I told you that idea I had of writing a happy song about sadness, or a sad song abut happiness. I still haven't done it myself either.. but I think one could do a full album of songs like that and trip everyone out!! actually the Beach Boys kind of did it with Pet Sounds if you listen to it, and a lot of harder rock bands have possibly done it I suppose.. still a good premise though 
another cool idea I thought of before would be to do a chase scene of some sort, describing the voyage, and possibly ending in death, or a crash or something.. or you could miraculously survive if you want. but a cool chase seen. I'm thinking the storytelling quality of Sublimes Date Rape.. but a crazy thrill ride of some kind. call it the Get Away, like a nondescript fleeing the scene of a robbery or something. cool or a song about Paint, cause you could include all types of colors, smells, textures, pictures. that could be sweet, I'm sure hasn't been done -

yes I did write a song based on your brief back in September, Kapoo. It drifted a bit off the brief maybe, but I hope to have a demo ready before too long. Song's called "Jonathan".
