A very large neighborhood

A very large neighborhood I walk to the North of a town There is a store down the street there is a cafe on the corner There are neighbors scrounging around People are driving cars Hanging around in bars Going to work Sending their children to school Fancy that . The houses are more richer The cars are more expensive Yet their are Good and bad people there So nice to know I go the the South in town There is a store down the street There is a cafe on the corner There are neighbors scrounging around People are driving cars Hanging around in bars Going to work Sending their children to school Some houses are well put together, others not The cars are more average There are still good and bad people there So nice to know Still I visit the East end in town There is a store down the street There is a cafe on the corner There are neighbors scrounging around People are driving cars Hanging around in bars Going to work Sending their children to school There are nice houses and not so nice houses Some houses are fairing well and some are falling apart Yet there are still good and bad people there Still its good to know I look on the West part of a town There is a store down the street There is a cafe on the corner There are neighbors scrounging around People are driving cars Hanging around in bars Going to work Sending their children to school There are nice houses and not so nice houses Some places are falling apart and some well to do Yet there are good and bad people there Still that is nice to know. In the rest of the world in various parts of towns There is a store down the street There is a cafe on the corner There are neighbors scrounging around People are driving cars Hanging around local establishments Going to work Sending their children in school There are nice houses and not so nice houses Some Houses are well to do , others not There are good and bad people there Still that is also nice to know We all live in a world neighborhood. There are stores down the streets Cafes around corners Neighbors scrounging around People drive their cars Hang around in bars and such Go to work Send their children to school There are nice houses and not so nice houses Some houses are well to do , others not There are good and bad people there too Still that is nice to know. I wish once in a while Someone with a smile Would take time to see we all share a world And apart of a very large neighborhood called Earth By Doris Mendlovitz

That poem is so applicable to everyday life. I was imaging my town as I read it. Too cool, Doris.
