I read where Bruce Springsteen is planning a series of shows in a 1,000-seat theater on Broadway. Ticket prices, I think, from $75 up. Who'd like to see Paul do something similar?

Well, he had his Pappy & Harriet's thing. I'm secretly hoping (very hopelessly) that when he comes to Melbourne, he'll do a secret show at The Corner. It's just down the road from AAMI Park. Easy.

        • Melbourne AAMI Park 5/12/17, Soundcheck + 3rd Row
        • Melbourne AAMI Park 6/12/17, Waaaaay up the back (still incredibly fab)

Yeah, for people who got a heads up and lucky locals... The last time his team did something for "the fans" is from the Linda-era. Man, this would be the best. I said this often, but when he did the small venue promo tour in 2007 and it was still the same as always with some token soundcheck songs, I accepted he's just not into this and we don't have to expect anything at all ever again. I also said often I'm now at the "I'm glad he still is on stage at all"-stage, I have zero expectations, and every surprise every 2/3 years is one. But boy, would it be cool if the band (re-)rehearses 50 songs and just does a few setlists with this material during a residency.

Springsteen's Broadway shows are supposedly not going to be standard concerts, but some sort of combination of spoken word/reading from his book, along with some songs to accompany the readings. Top ticket price is $850. As for Paul, I personally would love for Paul to do any sort of residency in a small theatre; whether it was an actual concert, or a reading, or whatever. Of course, the prices would probably be a lot higher than $850. 😉

(I mislabled this when I posted it before ... trying again) I read where Bruce Springsteen is planning a series of shows -- a residency, I think they call it -- in a 1,000-seat theater on Broadway. Ticket prices, I think, from $75 up. Who'd like to see Paul do something similar? I'm on the first plane to NY for it!
